One for my baby and one more for the road - but... Billie Holiday!
Gloomy Sunday - Billie Holiday, yet again
September in the rain - Dinah Washington
Spring can really hand you up the most - Betty Carter
I'm falling in love - Sam Cooke
Blindfold - Morcheeba (gives me the creep everytime)
I Needed Somebody - Irma Thomas (On Live! Simply the best.) I strongly advise anyone who hasn't heard that to get it - mindblowing soul, I swear. The same goes for:
Come On Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sad Sad Sad - Stones
Not really. The title indicates that it's sad. The lyric however goes: "Now you're sad, sad, sad, but you're gonna be fine". The music doesn't really screams "SAD" either.
The River- Springsteen You're A Big Girl Now- Dylan It Was A Very Good Year- Sinatra Vingt Ans, Quartier Latin- Léo Ferré Streets of Arklow- Van Morrison House On The Hill- Kevin Coyne Amelia- Joni Mitchell
Sing Me Back Home--anyone With God On Our Side (Dylan) As Long as I can See the Light, CCR I Got a Good Mind to Give Up Living--Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac

I had to laugh very loud, as I read "Sad Sad Sad". I think, it was ironic, right 'come on'?
"It Makes No Difference", The Band from "The Last Waltz." Rick Danko's heartrending vocal performance on this gets me everytime I hear it.
Guitar (capo 3rd fret)
C g/b It makes no diffrence where I turn Em g/d am7 I cant get over you and the flame still burns C g/b It makes no diffrence, night or day Em g/d am7 The shadow never seems to fade away
Am7/d g em7 c d g c And the sun dont shine anymore G em7 c d g c g And the rains fall down on my door
G Now theres no love Dm As true as the love C a7 That dies untold G em7 c d g c g But the clouds never hung so low before
It makes no diffrence how far I go Like a scar the hurt will always show It makes no diffrence who I meet Theyre just a face in the crowd On a dead-end street And the sun dont shine anymore And the rains fall down on my door
These old love letters Well, I just cant keep cause like the gambler says Read em and weep And the dawn dont rescue me no more
D bm Without your love Im nothing at all C cm Like an empty hall its a lonely fall D bm Since youve gone its a losing battle C Stampeding cattle Am d They rattle the walls
And the sun dont shine anymore And the rains fall down on my door
Well, I love you so much Its all I can do Just to keep myself from telling you That I never felt so alone before
