The last notes he played weren't recorded -
he was not plugged in...

Well, for notes actually captured on an official track, I understand that it was most likely "You Got The Silver", though I can't say if there may have also been unreleased tracks following that performance that he may have participated on.

Silver is the last thing that was released....He was in the Studio in According to Karnbach, the last verified date is 16 March 1969,Olympic Studios. It is reported among some archivists, that there are versions of songs that Brian played slide on, but were never used in the final versions (unverified). So its either the autoharp on You Got The Silver or percussion on Midnight Rambler that were Brian's final notes.

Most of the slide stuff on Let It Bleed was originally played by Ry Cooder, and then adapted by Keith - don't know which songs Brian played on then?

He farted in his coffin during his funeral, so Charlie and Bill started a handclap...

They did the "slow clap" - a must in every sports/hero movie.
In the books, which session comes later? "Silver" or "Rambler". I would be hard to classify his MR tracks as chords. It's just percussion and inaudible at that. Still one of the mystery tracks in Stonesworld.

Same with the HTW riff? Would surprise me. I mean thats ok, Keith is still a genius but he did knick a lot. And make it his own of course. Easy to understand RY Cooders bitterness though. He was used to musicans not superstars and corporations.

Ry Cooder is more famous for his influence on and work with the Stones than everything else he has ever done put together; he ought to send them Christmas cards every year instead of bitching.

Really? "Paris, Texas", BVSC, "Bop till you drop", are pretty well known. Actually, I learned about his work with the Stones much later.

Paris Texas is very well known. His soundtrack to Southern comfort too.
