Songs with best closing sequences

Not sure if this topic has ever been posted. Kind of a follow up to last weeks post about songs with great opening sequences. This is songs with best closing sequences (songs that close with long musical sequences). Some of the best;

"Time Waits For No One"
"Layla"

Haven't heard that song in years. Hope the closing is better than the body of the song.

I have a question about the ending of @#$%&. I like the ending they put on it from 75 on. did they do it that way in 73? Im just wondering. (I'll soon find out anyways.becasue I have bruessels affair coming to me in the mail!)

I also like the fade out on the studio version of @#$%&.

ACDC are the best. Their songs only have two endings. Theres the one that goes "DUNK" and the the one that goes "DA DUNK"

......yes they did do it that way live in '73.....I've never heard them do the ending live the way it is on GHS.

No no. LET'S!!!
My brother and I have agreed that if we ever make a Stones jam band again, we will start the show with Si Si (Je Suis Un Rockstar) and end it with Let's Work. No kidding...

Right, Rockman, the Doors might be a decent joker here...
I read this thread as a exclusive Stones-thing,
but The Doors is real closing- and ending group,
no doubt... How many other bands have the word "End" in one
of their major hits?

Will try to figure out some more of their songs with great
closing sequences. A pity their "Rock'n'Roll Is Dead" doesnt
count as a official release (even if its on a box set).

What about Nick Cave`s Murder ballads. The death is not the end. It is a Dod Dylan-cover

Yeah, that Dod.. winking smiley
Death Is Not The End... Wonderful.

Both Cave & Cohens versions of Avalanche have a spooky atmosphere
which of course colours the whole song & is a good ending.

Kanga Roo - Jeff Buckley (actually the beginning is just as good)

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

"Sofa" (Supergrass) and "Every Mother's Son" (Traffic). Has anyone ever noticed how similar they are?

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

The fade on the studio version of JJF

Elmo, there's another Skynyrd tune...
Saturday Night Special: that mean mean real EVIL guitars
and the irresistable old times Southern steam train
railways stomp which is the fade out essence there...
