The famous tongue logo has undergone many changes since the early 70's, with many different versions spawning from the original red tongue. What is your favorite version? Mine would probably be the flaming tongue.

I think the ones they released for the UK shows this year are pretty cool, the English, Scottish & Welsh flags. Also, there's a gold glitter tongue they produced a few years ago, that's pretty funky.

Anyone know if they produced an Irish shamrock tongue on the Licks tour where they played the point in Dublin ? I've heard they did, but I've never seen one.

there has been soooo many and I think alot of them have looked great but I generally prefer the original. The forked tongue normally displayed after SFTD is pretty cool. I bought the pin of that one in Richmond and wear it on my fave jacket.

The spiked tongue fer sure!! Especially in purple. Took a while to find a tshirt with this tongue design, but I finally found a decent quality one on Ebay...

The original, the spiked and the golden tongues are the coolest.

The original is the best

For the Dublin show,they used the same tongue/shamrock design that's on the back of the Boston Garden shirt.

I like most of the tongue designs....don't like when they make it look like a football, soccer ball or baseball etc.... I understand the marketing & fan appeal etc... ex. baseball tongue for special Boston shirts after Red Sox won the World Series..... but the actual design is kinda goofy.

The original and the slightly rounded version of it that was used around '81 - anyone know what I'm talking about?

Not a fan of the French Tickler, but I like the gold Bridges one and the glassy Bigger Bang tongue is growing on me.

They did. I thought it looked a bit daft, in all honesty.

My favourite is the original. Bit of a traditionalist, I'm afraid

Although I liked the purple spikey one they produced on the Voodoo Lounge tour.

BTW: What's the worst one??? My vote goes for the red/blue Steel Wheels tongue or the B2B tongue with the inca brodery on it.

The original one. But the "snake tongue" and the spiky one (purple, please!) is kind of interresting from a famale point of view... Cindy, ladies - what do you say?

I like the original the best, followed by the Canada one!

I must be different- I like the rainbow ones they had during the Licks Tour. I love rainbows- I think it was all of the Grateful Dead Shows (and what I did at them) they made me love COLORS!

Also, I love the Utrecht Licks Tongue that had the tongue as Van Gogh's Starry Night Painting. Totally cool!

The original one is still the best. Although I have seen the new logo with a Football tongue, for this leg of the tour. I think it looks kind of cool.
