Can't really complain about Kent's choices-the first four are classics and a must for every stones fan.

I've always loved VL and ABB brings you right up to date!

Happy listening!!

if you like it with a little more blues/country feel..

You know, JKF - I'm surprised you scored an 80 on this quiz - not bad. B-

Noticing a trend here, MicknSteven?

It's pretty much incontrovertible that the grand slam that is Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers & Exile represent the apex of The Stones' output. Definitely get all 4.

As far as other material, I would suggest Hot Rocks - you won't end up with much overlap with the "Big 4" and you'll get all of the hits from the early days.
(If you feel like spending some loot, get the singles set [London Years] instead of Hot Rocks [although there's no Under My Thumb on the singles box])

Then, move on to Some Girls, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You, Goat's Head Soup (in that order).

You're lucky, I wish I was just now discovering the Stones - so many hours of happy listening ahead of you.

The first 4 pick themselves. Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main St. Most would reccomend Some Girls as the 5th and its wonderful of course, but I'd plug for Tattoo You. Make it 6 albums instead of 5!

Big Al - I'm willing to make an exception for you. TY is right on the fence, anyway. I will have to take the + off the grade, though. Solid A.

This must be the correct listing of the top five Stones albums. How can one leave out a live album as Ya Yas, one of the best rockn'roll live albums in rock history? Of course it should be included.
