Sure they make a fingerprint of your left and right index finger plus a photo of you. Every time you enter. It takes a minute and is not a big deal. You just have to allow a lot of time to get through the immigration queues if you have connecting flights. Some times it has taken me 60 - 90 minutes, but usually 45 minutes is ok. Boring after a flight of 8-12 hours but still no worries. It's the Stones we are aiming at, so it is worth the wait - eventually.

Bjornulf, are you likely to come over to see any of the American dates?

Like the hoped for MSG date?

Sure! Two in texas, then to ny - to see what happens around MSG and the Beacon. Then to honolulu. Been photographed and fingerprinted on my four latest trips to the us. They know by now that I don't have a record. (just a fabulous record collection!)

Remember to not have a giant knife in your handluggage when travelling. I did...from NY to Copenhagen in 2002. I just completely forgot about it, and the passport-control-people were shocked.

Sure I want to enjoy bits of the Fall tour. Have to live on soup and noudles only for the next few years I suppose.

Funny thing about US immigration is when you go there often, and get the same guy, which is rare but happened to me two times through my Chicago hub this year, they freak out when seeing their own signature in my passport - saying - hey it's mine! Just like having a change in the setlist for us.

I am going to Las Vegas and Boise (plus The Who on Nov 10 in Las Vegas)

Outside Europe, went this tour to Philadelphia in October (X2), Boston in January (X2), San Juan in February and Shangai in April.

By the way, I still have an extra ticket for LV and and extra ticket for Boise.

Fingerprints and Photo, that is OK for me. Have no problems with it. Takes only a few seconds. It`s like security check on airports these days. Remember: it´s for your own safty !! It`s better to check twice then no check at all.

So .......... why exactly DID you have a giant knife in your hand luggage ? For peeling fruit ? For waving under the noses of arrogant immigration officials ? Why ?

Funny thing happened at JFK on January 17th this year. We were standing in line at immigration. NEXT! Handed my passport to this big afro american man. He seemed familiar. "So, the Stones are playing the Garden again?!" he said, laughing. The same guy who asked me: What's the purpose of this trip back in September 2005, when I answered: Well, the Stones are playin the Madison Square Garden, and that's allways a good excuse to go to NY. They must have an incredible memory at immigration control.

If they did that, they could all dress as Elvis, or they could do the ZZ Top version with big long grey fake beards. Excellent!
