This setlist whining is so ridiculous. I was at Boston Wednesday nite and it was fantastic. To me it was a great set-list. But of course one of the local papers complained the 1st half of the show was so-so but the last half was great. The last half were all the well known songs.
Other than some of us fanatics who go to as many shows as our credit cards allow
the fan who has not seen many live shows and don't have hundreds of boots, want to here the classic songs. Why don't you whiners understand this.
I took my older sister to opening nite in Fenway. She is 53 years old, grew up in the 60s with them. She wanted to here only the classic songs and would rather hear Satisfaction instead of say Sweet Virginia.
I get that us hard core fans would love to hear rarely played songs live, but the band has an obligation to all fans.
I'm with Kent when he just enjoys whatever they play. When I go to a concert, I want to see the band do its thing and if I get fortunate to hear some rarely played songs (Rocks Off, Memory Motel, Sweet Virginia) that's all the better.
