Is this the one gig,and if so where was it recorded? also how does it rate against their other official live outings?

multiple gigs - lp sides 1,2 & 4 mostly from Paris '76 shows - a few of the songs from shows in US '75. Side 3 was all from Toronto El Mocambo gigs in March, 1977.

Soundwise - it's great - although its full of overdubs (more than most of their live albums). Performance-wise? Alot of folks will tell you the Mocambo was one of their best in the the Ronnie era - but most will also tell you the '76 tour was their low ebb as a band.....

I think the band's OK, better on the 4 Mocambo tracks (Mannish Boy kicks ass), but Mick is coked-out/affected/slurring his words in almost self parody, i.e. at his near worst except for the Mocambo side as well. The next year they'd pull it all together for Some Girls...I'll take "When the Whip Comes Down" (Sucking In the 70s) over the 3 sides of LYL from '75-76

Reworked also frequently means, or includes (based on times of tracks) editing.
