I was holding off. I just couldn't get excited, I hate going to Foxboro. But as it starting getting closer to show time, I started feeling that ol excited feeling in my stomach. Plus I am listening to my just arrive "Acetates" disk courtesy of Mr. Erik Snow. The mixes on this disk are way rocking.
I got a great deal (non-negotiated on my part, I'm not trying to rip anyone off, ok, maybe a scalper or two)
Anyway, a girl I work with knows I am a big fan. I guess her bf is a limo driver and his company is handling the Stones tonight. She doesn't know which two he's going to be driving, but all the drivers get a backstage pass. She told me she will tell me everything tomorrow!
YAY!!!!!
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
per Stonesdoug, it appears that Under My thumb may take the place of Miss You in the "moving stage" part of the show - which seems a bit strange to me as its a relatively brief song and not one they can really "jam" on, but we'll see

That would be awesome. If I could change one song in the setlist it would be Miss You. And can't musicians jam on pretty much any song they want. Some are easier than others, I imagine, but it seems to me a halfway imaginative musician could come up with a long version of just about any song.

That was my guess earlier on another thread (you can look it up, I'm too lazy to find the post and link to it). It was played quite a bit on Licks, so while it is new to this tour it shouldn't be as hard for them as something they've never played or only played a few times 20 or more years ago. I'm not complaining, tho, I like the song and any change is good.

That would be insanely great. I love Paint It Black, and I don't think they've ever opened with it?
I said back when the tour started that "Paint It, Black" (yes, there's a comma. That was what the song title was originally) should have been the opening song.

My guess would be....it's because Paint It, Black is not a song where Jagger runs around on stage, rocking around and messing with the crowd....like Start Me Up, BS, JJF and others. Not Fade Away is the only one in the Paint-It-Black-vein they've used as an opener the last 30 years.

She's gonna have some sleep now...then some shopping, dinner, a movie at the cinema, over to the hair-dresser...and then she'll think about going to the show....after doing some gardening.

hehehe - I will definitely be late. It's going to take an hour from where I am. Gazza would be having cardiac arrest by now! I'm leaving now though!
