Hey!
Does anyone know which guitar Keith and Ron used for Gimme Shelter on the the tour in 1975...?
My guess is that Keith played the tune on his 72´Custom and Ronnie were on his 57´strat.....?

Images are really awful on my copy of "LA BLUES" but it seems to me that Keith uses black Telecaster Custom 72 and Ronnie a LP (Duesenberg ?).

I'll try to check later today at home. But I suppose Keith uses his black Tele 72 Custom with a ton of phaser effect and Ronnie plays his metal front Zemaitis.

you have a questionmark about Ron's Duesenberg.
the answer is no, its not possible as Duesenberg Guitars where founded in 1995.
Ron got his Duesnberg Starplayer in 2001.

Hi!
Tanx for the help - from what I´ve heard on the LA Friday-bootleg I would agree that it´s the 72´ Custom Keith using for Gimme Shelter - but still I think Ronnie´s solo sounds so much like a Strat?

I think he playes the black tele on that one and so he plays it in standard tuning live.
