Hello everybody! My girlfriend has beautiful blue eyes. While we were sitting in the sun yesterday and enjoyed a few cold dark "weizenbeer", I looked into her eyes and wished I had a nice music-compilation of blue-eye-related songs. I only discovered two: "she got eyes of the deepest blue" - "child of mine", GNR and blue eyes are mentioned in "vagabonds of the western world" by Thin Lizzy. Oh, here comes another one - how could I forget: "pale blue eyes" - VU. Marisa Monte did a nice cover of that song by the way. Any more suggestions?
Melon-Coloured Baby ... ooops sorry, wrong colour i meant: Say It's Not You - George Jones & Keith do a real pretty rendition Blind Love - Tom Waits ... with Keith, i'll be darned :E

It seems I had a beer too much yesterday - not to think of the Who's "behind blue eyes" is a crime, shame on me. The other songs I must check out, Clapton surely is in my collection. From which record is the Tom Waits tune? Hank Williams and Hank Snow I don't have yet, but with internet it should not be a problem... Thanks for the contribution so far!
I only have 3 different compilations of Tom Waits. As "Raindogs" is a must-have, I shall buy it. Anyone heard, if there are plans of Tom Waits remasters? A while ago I bought "White City" of Pete Townshend - now it's out remastered with bonus tracks.
Of course I meant My Blue Eyed Jane - Jimmie Rodgers or Bob Dylan (not Hank Williams) and also Scary Monsters - David Bowie ("when I looked in her eyes, they were blue, but nobody home")

I'm tempted to write more non-existant Hank Williams songs, when I recieve those great roses! Very nice!
