In 1981. he played it on standard tunig, on Bridges to babylon tour he played it with open-g (it sounds perfect) and on this tour he again play (or just hangin' around with guitar on during the songsmiling smiley it on standard tuning (white/yellow telecaster). what do you think & how was in '76. ?

Because it isn't really a guitar song in general. Open G is slighty easier.

The guitar he uses on LSTNT is definitely no Telecaster.
It's a white big guitar, I think a very old Gibson, the same he used for Satisfaction and Sympathy during the European tour.
The guitar sound in 1998 was sharper as I remember, I don't know why he tends to change those Teles (LSTNT 1997-1998) and Strats (Sympathy 1997-1999) for Gibsons.

that white one is an ES-345 - apparently a 1964 model.
Keith started using it pretty late in this tour - in Japan, if memory serves.
what was he using on LSTNT in 05 - the ebony ES-355?

<he played it on BTB? always seemed like a chuck, mick and backupsingers affair to me!>

The riff, you mean? He played it, but left some (big) spaces for the back up musicians...

In 76 they didn't play it at all. The tune sat out all of the 70's and 80's.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
