These threads always have songs dragged into them that I strongly disagree with but, this one might take the cake.
I can't see any similarity at all between I Go Wild and any Bon Jovi song.Loud guitars - trademark Stones.I don't think the Stones did that bad of a job with My Girl either.

Come on (not the song). The worst songs they have ever written were pre-1983 : Who's Been Sleeping Here?,It's Not Easy,Sing This All Together (See What Happens),Dear Doctor,a good portion of Metamorphosis etc..

I agree that it being the Stones takes out the crapitude factor. But I have to admit a lot of SMR and Dirty Work is close to, in the immortal words of Fat Bastard,"crraaapppppp!!" Midnight Toker, come on brother, anything Keef does, especially wanna hold you,is kick ass. Ditto anything on Exile .. Casino Boogie. OF course, that's just an opinion. DM
Hold Back, Hold On To Your Hat, Sing All Together reprise, Please Go Home, Juiced because of techno But I like Keiths revenge mix These are the ones that stand out as bad. Maybe only 4-6 others don't care for either but quite like the other 300 songs & love much of em MEZ
BACK TO ZERO - I almost got hit by a car a few days ago on campus when this song came on the iPod. I became disoriented and was almost hit by a hyundai
Too Much Blood
There are others, I'll tolerate them until I can't anymore, as I'm typing this Terrifying is beginning to get on my nerves.
I don't really mind stuff like Cherry Oh Baby, Short and Curlies. I guess it's just the facets of late 80s and 90s production that rub me the wrong way.
It's a universal fact that there is a Stones song for every moment of your life. While it may be true that some songs may cover multiple moments, or types of moments, lets face it: there will be a time in your life where Streets of Love, love it or hate it, seemed like the appropriate background music.
I am so glad that I am not the only one who doesnt like "Blinded by Rainbows". It just REEKS of Jagger phoning in some social consciousness To Gazza - both of us have always loathed "Hold Back". That's funny about the engineer still trying to locate the tune... Anyway, I made a point to listen to the song as if I had no preconceptions; just faked it until it worked. The guitars are strong. I just gave up on the tune, just went for the attack. Jagger's words are terible, but it is really just a couple lines that ruin it. So I jsyt made myself like it for once.
NP "Everythings Ruined" -Faith No More
"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
Anybody Seen My Baby rocks. The "Techno" in Might as Well Get Juiced?!!?!? It's not a dance song, it's just a different element incorporated into the song. You guys need to expand your ears and allow the Stones to dabble in other things besides basic riffs and blues progressions.

i forgot about rock and a hard place - yes, that sucks. and winning ugly sucks too.

sometimes i think that when bands resort to overused phrases as titles/choruses for songs, they've lost their own creativity

Too bad the Stones don't have a song called Memory Hotel. Have you even heard the song Memory Motel?
OK StoneRule...to answer your ? my 4 favorites are The Last Time, Paint It Black, Almost Hear You Sigh, and Baby Break It Down. In that order.
I love Hold Back, and I Go Wild?? Wassup with that? I go wild when you're in my face...I go wild when I taste your taste - loooooooooooove those lyrics! Also like Fool to Cry LOVE JJF live and studio same for SMU. In my opinion you can take away all warhorses EXCEPT JJF and BS - you cannot have a stones show without them.. Every show should open w/ JJF and end with BS.
Now, I don't care for Might as well Get Juiced, and I do occasionally skip it, but I don't despise it - same goes for Sexdrive. Blinded By Love I like.
And Don't Stop?? That is killer! I can't believe that's on hear. I think I saw another post that said it was the child of SMU. I've always thought it more in the Happy vein, as the guitar work sounds very similar to me anyway.
Yes, Voodoo I know what you mean. Always hated Satisfaction, JJF, Brown Sugar, and all of Exile and Letit Bleed. Never been a fan of mom, puppies, ice scream, apple pie, sunny days, financial security, beautiful women, and lastly SANITY!

not for my money - love ALL those songs you mentioned.
