he's speaking in the past tense about the band having already 'signed' last Tuesday to play shows. Says nothing about an announcement

Sorry, misunderstood, spend to less time at the boards nowadays.
"On Tuesday, the band supposedly signed to do a total of 21 shows in the far East and Europe starting in April" -
transferred to my mother tongue this could as well mean next Tuesday.
Have I read more carefully or checked the souce I would have got it.

Check RS.com / IORR.org often from this weekend on. After the final show in Vancouver - they are supposed to flash some news concerning Europe. So, be sure to visit iorr.org and rs.com often the nearest 4 days or so.

14 shows were cancelled last tour - but 2 of them were second nights in Paris and Amsterdam so not coutning them. 2 shows later cancelled due to Mick's throat in Spain

1 barcelona 2 madrid 3 brussels 4 gothenburg 5 st petersburg 6 brno 7 warsaw 8 athens 9 zagreb 10 frankfurt 11 nurenberg 12 leipzig 13 el ejido 14 valladolid

with rumours of 14 shows signed for next summer, it somehow makes sense, but it might be just a coincidence of course smiling smiley

There will be an official announcement - from the Stones. THEN - the tour list will be extended. Not all dates are fixed yet, and not all contracts have been signed. They have an awfull lot of logistics to work on before they can fix the dates. It's a big production, remember. But Poitr, the date in Poland is OK, probably in honour of you. See you there! One love.

That's coincidence if one believes the 14 Euro shows thesis at all. (More likely is 30, but maybe only ca. 15 are announced in early December, the rest later.)

At least Nuremberg and Leipzig won't happen because of the poor ticket sales last for 2006. They'll play 3-4 shows (if not more) in Germany I think, but elsewhere.

I've heard about the official announcement, too. Can't wait.
I was supposed to be in Hawaii now, but the cancellation... So I'm looking forward to a new round - probably beginning in late April. In Spain.

Bro, really pulling for one in your neighborhood. Does all of Scandanavia count as your neighborhood? All of Europe? How far would you travel to see the band?

The only neighborhood that I accept from Baboon Bro is Trøndelag, and I know he want them there. BB is a good mansmiling smiley

That's partly bull****, sorry.

Why?

- Dusseldorf or Gelsenkirchen are much to near to Cologne which was hardlya filled this year.

- Munich? Simply absurd. This year 15.000 or so tix were not sold.

- Twice Milan in two years? Highly unlikely too.

- Amsterdam? See Milan comments and consider that the bad sound in the Arena is know well known; a fact that led to the cancellation of the 2nd show this year due to poor ticket sales. I hope Feyenoord AND a place in East NLs. But a hall concert is welcome in A'dam of course.

But I agree with most of the rest, although I think St. Petersburg, not Moscow. And there will be much more towns visited.

It is NOT confirmed. Just search for "Erfurt" and "Stones" at www.google.de and carefully read the newspaper articles! But I would not be sad if it would happen... I only would be upset if a Erfurt show makes a Dresden show impossible ;-)

Does Amsterdam have any arenas or halls?
I think they would not want to miss it, unless they play Rotterdam, of course.

from what I know they have Amsterdam Heineken Hall
[www.heineken-music-hall.nl]

dont know what capacity is it.
I also seriosuly dobut there will be any arenas played in Europe but wtf am I to know anything.

For Stones is actually no matter if they play Rotterdam or Amsterdam as they stay in Amsterdam anyway, these cities ar elocated so close that there's no need of staying in Rotterdam and Rotterdam has very ncie sounding stadium - De Kuip.

About 5,000. There were rumours of shows there towards the end of Licks.

Don't think they'll do Denmark. I'm hoping for it though. If they do Sweden they should do Denmark, Finland and Norway too.

If they are clever the will not tour in Europe moneywise.
There much to much high price acts. And I had it to say but Genesis will steal the show and not so many people will afford to pay for two top acts anymore.
Let's wait and see.
They should leave the stage in grace.

I don't think Genesis would stel the Stones' show...Genesis don't address that many age-groups than the Stones do. Genesis isn't that popular than the Rolling Stones. I'm sure.

Genesis aren't playing any shows in Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, etc (where the Stones cancelled this year).
I don't think this is anything to worry about.
