Actually - think I saw you in at least (wrapped in a very British costume) Berlin... and perhaps in Nice. (With an inflatable palm tree?) If you're the guy I think has got to be Gazza?

I was at both shows, shidoobee, but was 'normally' dressed (Muddy waters checkerboard lounge tee shirt in Berlin and a black Keith "Even tougher" one in Nice) (I'm intrigued as to what a 'very British costume' consists of...LOL

I only had a palm tree in Glasgow (a big one). Paulywaul and Beast had palms at all the UK shows and were also in Nice.

For the Berlin show, I spent the afternoon and most of the evening with the crowd of fans who were in the West End Klaus bar near the stadium. So, unless you were there, I dont think youd have seen me. For Nice, we were all at that Kings Head pub pre-show.

If you were at the Cabbage Patch before the London shows, we would have been in the same place, though, although I snagged VIP passes for Twickers #2 and Glasgow thanks to a very kind IORR member. My mug is plastered all over the various fan get together pix at Rocks Off and Stonesvikings,a s well as a few on here..so theyre easy to find. If you'd come up and said hi, I'd have bought you a drink. I'm a sweetie pie in real life, ya know....Honest. winking smiley

Hey there, I can't wait for them to play the Hallenstadion myself. It's been awhile since the last time (1967 wasn't it?)
It's such a great hall with all the wood inside and good acoustics as well.
It would be a dream. But why not ? ;-)

The "real British costume" was the Union Jack... And a pair of sun glasses - the coolest I've seen since Keith Moon was still around! I've seen your pic, with Bjørnulf and the Shidoobee-guy, Doug. I'll say hi next time! Getting ready for NY now. Then Texas, perhaps NY again and finally Hawaii. See you! :-)

I'd a Union Jack Stones flag with me at the 2nd Twickenham show - no sun glasses tho.

Enjoy New York..and texas..and NY..and hawaii....

I wonder that there seem to be absolutely NO new rumours circulating. Hard to believe, because the confirmation is most likely for late November/ early December. Before confirmations of recent European tours there were loads of rumours already in late summer I think. A reasonable part of them proved true later on.

Re: Europe 2007 - 40 shows
Posted by: Gazza ()
Date: September 27, 2006 16:14

..and a lot of them didnt. Lets face it you can speculate about quite a few cities which would normally be expected to come true. A lot of it doesnt tend to be rrocket science

Dont know what you're expecting by this stage. Theres been ample rumours for some time (particularly regarding the rescheduled shows), and statements from promoters in countries like Spain where theyve specifically stated that the Stones would play there next year. Plenty more rumours by this stage of specific European dates than there were of specific American fall 2006 dates in the same time frame.

This next European tour cant really be compared to previous ones as its a return visit. When they announce the start of a world tour, theres already plenty of speculation as to what theyre going to be doing in a year's time.

No it's not. England is their home. In the case of Mick and Keith its Kent, Charlie its Wembley and Ronnie, Middlesex I think.

I did not mean "not forget" not to forget to place useless responses. They only make the thread too big to overview. Stop this bullshit, please, people!

Not very unrealistic for this 2. Bigger Bang Tour.
Also in the US, they're now playing mostly at smaller places / towns, so why not Karlsruhe?

More and more, I believe that our guys will rock us again next summer!

they want to play in towns they never played , to hope to get more audience

But Karlsruhe is only 30 km from Stuttgart. I doubt this would sell out. Frankfurt makes more sense for Southwest Germany.

I was hoping for arenas in the Jan-mar timeframe. Would they really wait until next summer -- another series of stadium shows doesn't make me too excited. Don't get me wrong, I'll be there, but it would be nice if they would make it an arena tour.

and reduce the $$$-hunt.

Anybody know if they will be issuing cheaper tickets for on the pitch seating < £60 for £150> through ticketmaster again on first come first served scenario?

With 80 North American shows on this tour by the end of 2006, I think theyve milked the US market dry in all honesty. Theres not enough cities who could support another expensive show a few months after the last one to make a tour of any length sustainable
