LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Sir Mick Jagger demanded a giant fridge-freezer be installed in his hotel room in Wales - to store his personal stash of ice-cream.

The singer was in the country to perform with the rest of his bandmates in Cardiff on the latest leg of their 'A Bigger Bang' world tour.

After checking in at the plush Celtic Manor Hotel, in Gwent, Jagger reportedly requested that an American-style refrigerator was placed in his room complete with ice-cream.

The rocker apparently uses the frozen sweet treat to cool down his vocal cords after performing.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The hotel has many celebrity guests and they always try to cater for their needs."

It was recently reported that Jagger has an oxygen tank backstage to help him keep his energy up during the Stones' gruelling live shows.

However, his spokesman has now denied the claims, saying: "It's simply not true that Mick uses oxygen. He maintains astonishing levels of fitness and the only help he needs during live performances is plenty of water to keep him hydrated."

He can't drink or do drugs on tour anymore because that combined with the shows would be too grueling at his age, but at least he can still have a nice frozen treat. It could be the start of a new diet fad: nothing but oxygen, water, ice cream and bannans.

So that's the reason for Mick's screams during Midnight Rambler. He is screaming for his ice cream!

Movenpick Schoeller used to do a strawberry sorbet to die for .

Nestle bought them out so I guess thats the end of deicent ice cream.

I heard it's Mud Pie Mojo by Cold Stone Creamery.

He's accompanied by his youngest son, Lucas, on this tour. He's a sweet, chubby little boy. I can imagine he enjoys having an icecream with daddy.

I think Keef uses oxygen too..............maybe thats soemthing else.................

i've been on that diet for years........and i still can't get outta bed..........Mr Jagger is an amazing physical specimen for his age

Keith's chain-smoking and Mick's oxygen habit. Does their rider stipulate that their accomodations have to be kept a certain distance apart?

This newspaper report seems strange. All the other musicians were staying in London (so had a 3 hour return journey after cardiff), and band members went home.
