Keep my fingers crossed for Angie in Bergen

They haven't played Angie since Berlin end of July.
Hope I can hear that song live for the first time in my life!

Tomorrow I'm getting in my car, headed 800 KM south west. I guess it's gonna take more than 12 hours with stops and so on.
But on friday, yes, that's the day I've been waiting for for a long long long time now.

I can start to feel it now...

No. I going there by my self, and my girlfriend is staying home. She wouldn't come with me...

But that's Daddy's favourite song, and I've grown up into it.

An early girlfriend thought me how to play the exact tones on the guitar when I was like 16 or 17, and it's been 'my song' too since then.

Daddy heard it live in Oslo in 90 (or was it Gothenburg 82, I don't remember), and he's still talking about it. Now he's not going to Bergen, but I'll phone him if they play Angie.

But of course I have other wishes:
- Worried About You
- No Expectations
- Sway (though it sounded better in the 70s)
- Wild Horses (Heard it once, Stockholm Stadium 03)
- Dead Flowers (Heard it once, Solo 98)
- Don't Stop (Heard it twice, Stadium and Globen, Stockholm 03)

I remember when I learnt Angie on guitar. I was 16 years old, and learnt the opening chords by listening to GHS numerous times, stopping the turntable constantly where I fell off. I was really proud when I understood Keith's intro. Wonder why he never played the real intro live?

Has he never played the 'right' intro live?
It wasn't Mick playing it then?

The video-version where they actually play Angie live has the intro.

No, I'm sure it was Keith. Their acoustic style is quite different. He does the short-cuts in the intro live smiling smiley

Only live vocals, and the backing track is not the final studio mix. That goes for all the videos from that era; Silver Train, Till The Next Goodbye etc.

They know Norway is Smokey and country music territory, so usually it is a country song like Dead Flowers.
