By all means, do a private concert for charity - but as well as (and NOT instead of) a show in at least one small venue for the enjoyment of real fans.

with the lamest audience (besides, Scorsese has already made the greatest concert film ever and the best rock documentary too - whats the magical appeal of a film of a Stones corporate concert?)

are the Stones going to give ANY theatre shows for FANS on this tour at all or have they given up on them completely? The answer is quite obvious going by the evidence.

Gazza,

I cannot comment on the appeal of a "corporate" Stones concert.

I can only comment on the appeal of a filmed Stones concert by Martin Scorsese. He's one of our greatest Auteurs, and being a cinema student and avid filmwatcher, I'd enjoy the experience of Martin Scorsese capturing The Rolling Stones in performance. I didn't say it'd be the greatest concert, I merely hypothesized that with Scorsese at the helm, it would be a captivating look at The Rolling Stones as they exist today.

Hey bv, I aree but beely is right. You would have to go to the culprit of these things. In my observation it has been Steven and a few other bad APPLES, that keep throwing there political views on everything. They are not well to say the least. I don't know why they don't spresd there sick rederic on a political web page and stop including the Rolling Stones in there SICKNESS!

If it will be a high priced charity gig with tons of vip's then it would be a totally oring show for stones fans and i would not bother to go at all. Paying 1000 dollars to sit down with a boring crowd is such a wsste of money. Then get a flight to halifax or ls vegas or any other place and you will get a real show and a real crowd and you do still have money for beers after the show. But still, mind you, this is all rumours, but I assume may be they do one charity and one for real fans... may be...

stonesfrk, I agree there are some people on here that rant about politics. I have learned that the best way to rid ourselves of these offensive posts is to click that button that says, "Report This Message."

BV responds to those reportings. He rarely responds to an open plea such as your above request. I support your efforts to rid this site of venomous political rantings.

What's all this talk about the Rolling Stones having a charity ball for Kevin Bacon? It's an outrage!! He's made millions of dollars from touring with his brother, playing small clubs with their acoustic guitars. He's also made a few dollars from starring in several movies. He's supposedly 6 people removed from everybody in Hollywood. What in cripes sake does he need a charity event for......

What was that? It's not a charity event for Kevin Bacon? It's a charity event at the Beacon?

Oh!

Nevermind.

About political posts it is very simple.
It is a rule that they are not allowed on IORR.
They make fights and makes it uncomfortable here.
Too many cultures and tempered people here.
I have said it many many times so there is no excuse.
If I see people ignore this rule then please do not
be surprised if your user are locked out from IORR.
It is a rule very simple. And remember.
There is an Edit Post there, if you regret posting.
There you may edit your own post,
but you can't wipe out the replies.
So stay away from political statments here.

If you are desperate to make a statement,
then get a box, bring it to Hyde Park Corner,
and stay there talking all Sunday morning with a crowd.
Or anywhere else. But not on IORR.

Thank you.

Hey, Sara. Perhaps, the tickets will be sold like the Radio City benefit (still trying to find out myself and will post)? Hopefully, their balcony prices will be similar to the RC show (not much different than a normal show). What an amazing Stones concert that was! One of the best ever for me! It proved to me that just because there are some well heeled (& giving) people in the crowd, doesn't mean it can't be a great show! The balcony was definitely rockin'! Know you won't forget that show, Sara!! Lets hope the Beacon will be the same! Will post about tickets if/when I find out.

Please count how many posts on this thread are political, who made them, the severity, and report back.

It is BV's board, not Beelyboy's, not Stonesfk's, not Lukester's. If BV takes offense to one of my posts he can send me a simple e-mail. I have not had one warning from the person who counts. Some might consider the personal attacks by the board bullies with anger management issues even more offensive.

It is quite funny those who claim to be most offended by political views are the ones most often spouting theirs and doing the bashing. Time to look in the mirror boys. This is by far the most intolerant of Stones boards.

Totally agree BV. I don't want to (and won't) sit through a Stones show! I can't do it! But, like I mentioned in my above post the Robin Hood benefit show at Radio City was one incredible show! Because it was a benefit, I really didn't know what to expect. We got an amazing and very rockin' show from the Stones!!...and a Stones poster, t-shirt and open bar all night with no lines to boot! Very glad I went! See you at the Beacon?!

Steven, I guess you don't listen and rant your own madness. bv stated he does'nt want politics on the board because it creates fight's. The issue is'nt the people who get pissed, the issue is the people that create the stupid political jester's. People like you who create the madness and is on a one way street about his views. Funny thing is steven it seems everybody on this site has your #. So maybe you need to look at yourself in the mirrior, Capice

Alright, but, what will the deal be with the rumored second Beacon Theater show if,by some chance,it ends up happening? That's the question - trying to hold out some kind of hope.
