as a great a frontman as he his and the fact he's in my favorite band, i'd have to ask how the hell is he the best SINGER ever? i won't say anything about the guy who said he gets bored with the best singer but not jagger cause he's at least admitting jagger's a frontman but not an expitionale singer.
To keefriffhard4life: If not the very best maybe, Jagger surely is one of the best rock singers ever. You don't at all have to be technically perfect or have a range the greater the better to be a good rock singer. Rythm, sound, phrasing, energy, uniqueness, inventiveness and lots more has as much to say!

theres a difference before a singer and a front man or performer. you just described a performer or front man. i singer has lots of technique. look at who i named i bet no one here knows any of them.
Jagger is not a pretty singer, but his voice is incomparably powerful in the mid range,it can cut through at any volume.
male rock singers there are many, but this is a good list :
Scott Walker Elvis Howlin Wolf Al Green Otis Redding David Bowie Marvin Gaye Van Morrison (early)
The list of the first poster is surely meant as a joke ,is it the list of the best vocalist whose balls were being stepped on at the time of the recording?.
What about the worst vocalist, i would go for the guy in the Pet Shop Boys,Bono or Robert Plant, who can sing, but when he's bad he's really bad (see Rock n Roll on the Song Remains the Same movie, one of the most embarassing vocals of all time).
Firstly, Jim Morrison was a great stage persona but not a very good singer, as a matter of fact, later on (circa 1969-1970) his singing got even worse. Now about great singers in rock history... well, Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger, Bon Scott, Otis Redding, Ian Gillan and Bono come to my mind. Anyway, what makes a singer a good singer? Doesn't sing out of tune? Well...
