Nice soliloquy again my friend beely, but Moon was so way out front. He would do drum rolls before the rest of the band could keep up. I saw him once. He sparred with Pete at center stage. It was classic Moon. Listen to his way up front drumming on Summertime Blues and My Generation. It's like he said, "I'm going to drum...you guys can keep up if you want." I love that style. Hey Charlie Watts is an excellent drummer and I love to hear him beat the skins. But when I'm asked who's the best of all time, I always go with Keith.

as a drummer this guy pretty much got it right on the head. heres something though how come because the stones are everyone on heres favorite band, including mine,do they think everyone in the band is the greatest of whatever? just cause they are in the greatest band ever doesn't mean they are the greatest whatever except mick is probably the greatest front man ever, not singer but front man. charlie is not that great of a drummer. he's better than most but far from the greatest. other than the three listed above here are some other great drummers. keith moon alex van halen vinnie paul frankie banali bobby rondinelli lars ulrich bobby rock nick menza tommy aldridge carmine appice ginger baker myron grombacher
John Bonham Ginger Baker Mitch Mitchell Dave Grohl Keith Moon Carl Palmer Carmine Appice Charlie Watts Roger Taylor (Queen, not Duran Duran) Chad Smith Ian Paice Kenney Jones
I don't know much about Neil Peart's drumming but as almost everyone seems to name him, he might be a good drummer.
