I can't believe this.

At the beginning of this Tour there were agruments about why they are Touring etc... alot of people said it was because of money and many other people argued that they are touring because they love performing, they love the music etc...

Well after reading the band's next step into greed (this pathetic grab of cash) I can only come to one conclusion - ABB = the Tour for money !

Oh really. Who gives a rat's arse. The idea is nice.

You can spend a dollar and listen to a song being performed at the same moment, if you feel like it. It's rather nice. I think most of the revenue goes to the phone people anyway.


If there are rumours about a song being perfomed live, you could even try and catch it, or listen the day after when it's posted on yousendit by someone who bothered phoning in. I really don't have a problem with it.

No one thankfuly. In this day and age of advanced technology who is seriously going to argue that charging people $2 a minute to listen to a few minutes of a concert on a telephone connection (with all the flaws that is apparent in that form of technology) is a step in the right direction. Other bands sell soundboards and pro shot DVDS of each show, yet Stones fans are prepared to accept scratchy fragments of songs played down a telephone? Interesting gimmick, but musically and technically, its of very little value and with very limited appeal.

as much as I like the idea put forth in taping the show...

Some of these people on this and other Stones sites are so one dimensional in their music tastes that they blind themselves to other good music if it differs very much from the Stones style. Also they seem to feel very threatened when the critical acclaim and commercial success of bands like the Beatles and U2 equals or eclipses that of their beloved Stones and develop a hatred of these acts because of that. I find it pretty amazing that a good, but very one dimensional band like AC/DC gets so much acclaim on here yet U2 whose music is as diverse as the Stones gets torn apart.

In regards to Bono there is immense cynicism directed towards him by people who get their facts wrong and can't understand why a rock star would want to try to do some good in the world instead of becoming an alcoholic and drug addict.

This is a bit like those awful sex-numbers one can call. Why would anyone do that? It's not the real thing, just a vulgar one-dimesion version of something that was real to begin with.

To hear the entire concert, it would cost you $34-36 based on the typical Stones concert length. If this is successful and the Stones make a lot of money from it, watch them start dragging out those warhorse songs at the end even longer to increase the 115-120 minute shows to 130-135 minutes.

It is a little weird that in the same month that The Who webcast 3 complete shows, 1 for free and 2 others for $10 with all proceeds to charity, that the Stones do this. I gladly paid $20 to watch those 2 Who webcasts, which I was able to watch over and over again with great sound, but it's ridiculous to listen to a show on your phone with subpar sound and high cost.

I have to say GREEDY FCUCKERS!!!

This is a crap gimmick trying to extract money from fans who have already paid too much for tickets!!! Me included. I love The Stones but this is really scraping the fcuking barrel. They need to wake up and smell the coffee. Who in their right mind is going to sit for 2 hrs with a phone strapped to their ear??

I have been a fan since I was 5 years old, have all their records, videos and DVDs. My respect for them has flown out of the window for this pathetic stunt.

If they recorded each show like the Black Crowes do and offered them for download @ say around $10 per show I'd be chuffed to bits. Screw Mick and Keith for this.... Last time I ever go and see them live or buy their new crap album!!!

Come on guys, it's still less expensive that a real ticket. I'm pretty happy to have my 14 minutes of Stones in Paris, sitting in my office in the afternoon in NYC, trying to fight the post-lunch nap. Can't complain.
