Ladies & Gentlemen, please get ready for... PARIS!!

Great! No shows this week so we have four days to concentrate on Paris, and Paris only!

With all the fuss about the tickets, the swap and the refunding, it surely is a memorable gig already.

We will be leaving for Paris on thursday morning, spend the night in a bar, spend the morning in the Tuileries. Then we'll try to find a great spot in the stadium, best searched for from the Eiffel Tower I suppose... And in the afternoon we'll be at the stadium, in time to find a nice spot on the Pelouse Debout.

I like the setlists in Europe so far, so I think we'll be fine. But my personal favourites from the choice currently available are Sway, Worried About You, (Midnight Rambler), Slipping Away/Before they make me Run, She's So Cold, and of course All Down The Line! Warhorses are fine with me, I'm too young to have heared them too often. But SFM instead of SMU would not hurt me.
From ABB I would love to hear Rain Fall Down, and I heared SOL is very good live, although I personally do not really like the song very much.
I also love to hear LSTNT, I think there will be no problem getting that wish fulfilled...

Can't wait!!!

Yeah !!! Paris is next at least !
1 show instead of 2, but still good news !

I really wish Keith will play This Place Is Empty instead of Slipping Away.

Sway would be highly appreciated by many many fans here in France.
Get Off Of My Cloud would be great too.

And what about a little surprise as a present from Mick for his birthday 2 days before ? Something really new, or rare...
Dreams are allowed, aren't they ?

Nice one, phd, I especially like the introduction of Laugh.

It is a great setlist, but I would make a few replacements: Out Of Control instead of Tumblin' Dice, Worried About You instead of Streets, Before They Make Me Run instead of Happy. But all close calls of course. Only 20 slots to fill...

I have two questions on the Paris show.

Concerning drinks, will there be a system like for example in the Netherlands, with guys walking around with little tanks of beer/coke on their back? Or will they have to walk around with small crates with drinks? (Allow me question 1b) What will the price of a drink be like, in the stadium? Just curious, I don't want to get short on money/drinks.

Have there been other shows with a second FOS, behind the 'real' one? Or just the one in Munich? I ask this because the Stade de France has, like Munich, a larger audience, so what are the chances of such a second FOS in Paris? All guesses are welcome... (I think the Stadium doens not have a webcam to sort this out... Didn't find it anyway.)

My wish list is :

As Tears Go By - in english
Rain Fall Down
This Place Is Empty
Sway
Get Off Of My Cloud

The one I do NOT wish to have is Slipping Away.
I don't really care about the other ones, whatever they chose will be great.

Sluissie

We are planning to go up Montparnasse Tower (ugliest building in paris ? ) on Sat 29th.

Great view for taking pics of the Eiffel Tower,
Take Europe's fastest elevator all the way to the top in 38 seconds and no Ques.

Just hope it is not Hazy.

Dont know if you can see in the stadium from there ??.

I'd say no.
1st off all the stadium is pretty far away from there, and then it will depend on the weather.
If you see something, it will be the roof. It looks a bit like a flying saucer above a few buildings.

Madmaxx,

It is the ugliest building in Paris, for sure! But hey, its important to set the extremes, if you want to be able to build a collection, a whole, like a city as Paris is... ;-)

It would be fun to see all those Stones t-shirts on the Eiffeltower and Montparnasse, trying to spot a good place in the stadium...

See you there maybe!

Mick will be yelling ARE YOU FEELING GOOOOOD? All right, what's next... in 36 hours!

Still, I want to ask if anybody has a clue, or can guess a little bit, about whether there will be 1 FOS, or maybe two, like in Munich.

And, in order to make sure I have enough money on me, but not too much, are the prices of drinks in the Stade de France higher, lower or the same as in for example Amsterdam: around 2/3 euro's?

Any clues on one of the topics?

Looking forward to the show... Can't wait. We'll be leaving around 5 this afternoon... Jumpin Jack Flash, it's a GAS GAS GAS... Guess I'll edit my post on the Paris Sell Out-thread, and make JJF the opener of my setlist, and Satisfaction the 2nd encore.

Paris, a bientot!

I hope that they will play MIDNIGHT RAMBLER.
Each time they play MIDNIGHT RAMBLER, it is the highlight of the show.

Hope you're right Doc...Hope also that Keith realises that his actual set has been already played here in 2003.

A little Midnight Rambler here and there, accompanied by some Sway, Out Of Control, a jamming setlist... Heartbreaker on the B-stage... Can think of many nice things~, some will happen tomorrow, some maybe in 2010.

Jelle

Listening to Play With Fire now. That's a suggestion for the tour in 2013, when they only do acoustic theatreshows. Mick, Keith and Charlie on stools, (Ronnie having a little break, just this song) Mick singing, Charlie only on a tambourine, slapping his leg to set the rhythm and Keith picking and plucking away on the guitar. Would be nice?

FYI, there were nice coverage at news yesterday evening on the main TV channels plus good articles in the papers and weekly magazines. For about ten days, all along some parts of the highway that surrounds this City, great ads for the Bigger Bang Show. The weather is fine 28-30 °C . It should be a good concert. And a lot of people though 80 % of the parisans are riding out whether for the vacation time that begins today or just for the week-end.
