If there's any truth to the CD event in Lousville that would be the bomb for sure!! I believe I mentioned previously (weeks ago) about how cool it be for the Stones to play Louisville on or around the time of the Breeders Cup (World horse racing championships).

I guess one can dream!

It's great that you get some more shows over there in America....but I was actually hoping for a western northern Norwegian tour. Perhaps in 2007.

I think it is disgusting to cancel half of the European tour only because you can make more money in the US.

And what about Argentina????

Well, the couldn't have played that late in Europe anymore.
But I am a bit disappointed that they have a huge schedule for the US again and no word about the cancelled shows from Europe this summer. Great for the US fans of course.

WOW! Giants Stadium holds 85,000 people, so it's a big hassle going there, but I'll go because Atlantic City & The Beacon are @#$%& awesome, and it will be impossible to get tickets for those shows, but I'll try.

Hope this is true!

exciting and happy news for the U.S fans
..another kick in the bollocks for the European fans.

This US "fall" tour schedule is longer than the European tour.

Re: Fall Tour
Date: July 21, 2006 18:03

Maybe because none of the European shows sold out, and here in the US it was impossible to get tickets, including the large stadium shows! Europe didn't sell out yet, theres still tickets available for every show, displaying that the enthusiasm in EUROPE is not as strong as in the US. Don't you think that has something to do with it?

The U.S. fall tour was already in the works before Keith's accident - they could not scrap it to make up European dates, and even if they could have most European stadiums wouldn't have been able to accomodate them this fall.

Yes, it would be nice if they would make up this European dates sometime in 2007, but it seems they are sick of being on the road and don't feel up to more touring next year. At the end of 2006 they will have been on the road for a year and a half, that is a pretty long time for any band, much less one of such an advanced age.

To be honest, I don't think that you can blame us European fans for that...

If they were so sick and tired of touring why should they announce this tour then?

Don’t you get it…when the U.S. is involved, Europe is irrelevant.

Yeah, there is more - but in this case they could just tour in the US all the time and forget about the rest. Or just stay in Vegas and play every second night. Most of the the cancelled shows had been sold out, btw...

I have trouble believing that Aloha will sell out ON THANKSGIVING NIGHT, 11/23. Big Holiday in Hawaii invloves big family gatherings, and interisland travel for a concert is not going to happen much I would guess. Though maybe the draw from Metro Honolulu area will be enough. I don't know,Cohl is the businessman, but I have been a Pacific islander for over a decade, and I just don't see Thanksgiving Night as a good choice.

This is wrong. In Germany, the most difficult country this year, the shows sold or will sell at more than 90 %. In any case, great for US and Canadian fans.

Because it was already agreed to in principle and in the works before Keith's accident. My guess is Charlie didn't even want to do this one and had to be talked into it, then put his foot down and said "ok to fall 2006, but absolutely no shows in 2007."

insane having stadium dates in the middle of the week, a sure way to guarantee poor ticket sales, considering.

1. Looks to be same show has last go thru (just 8 months ago), Plus rumoured shorter set lists.

2. Unless your pockets are full of cash for airfair only the locals will be able to attend. I was able to take weekend road trips on last go thru (anything within a 300 mile circle from st louis). chicago & memphis

3. Ticket prices (lower them to 150.00 tops)

4. where is the Kansas City, Indianapolis dates.... chicago will have a hard time putting 40,000 (if its on a wednesday) in the solder field unless a great opening act (see below)

only thing that will save those middle of the week stadium shows (same cities as last leg) will be

1. opening act -- the who, ac/dc or aerosmith (then those stadiums will be full) even that wont make me fork out the $$$$$$$$$$ to fly to and from. I'm retired and only 51 and want to keep it that way.

looks 1 show for me if rumoured louisville date is correct.

They are going to be playing some pretty obscure places if this is true, including my hometown of Louisville. Great news for those of us who don't live in a major league city like New York, LA, etc.

I wasn't planning on going to another show if they don't shake up the setlist significantly, which I doubt they will, but if they're going to be right on my doorstep it's a different story.

I'm not paying for a ticket and travel and hotel to see all the warhorses again, but when travel and hotel are eliminated even a warhorse show becomes worth it, especially when you throw in the novelty of seeing them play at such a unique venue.
