So FUNNY...enough already, it's a dead issue !!! FRANCE played the better game, just couldn't get a goal when they needed it.....Italy was good on defense but sh*t on offense...France ws good on both
Really bad and stupid what he did, off course. There is no excuse. However, I am realy curious why he did it. The italian player must have insulted hin very badly, I suppose. Maybe with kind of familiar things. We will know in a short time what happened / what the italian said. That`s how italians are: Provocative, crybabies and actors, even though they are good footballers. Like them or not.....
Italians can play good football but they never had a good spirit. everybody knows it. They just don't xcare for the art ! the important thing for them is to win whatever the way is used

No excuses for this stupid reaction, but maybe an explanation : the UK daily "The Guardian" suggests that Materazzi had called him "a terrorist". If this is true, I hope that FIFA 'll say hello to Materazzi in the next days.
Another thing, it was the first time that the video was used in an official game : the fourth referee don't saw the kick live but only on his screen control. If my brain still works, I remember that FIFA is totally against the use of video during games. Funny...
Yes, bad reaction from Zidane...no matter how offensive could be Materazzi's words!!!
Bad way to leave the football world...
Nonetheless, he is and will always reamains the recent greatest football player of the world (after Maradona left football...) and his playing in the final till the hit to Materazzi is there to show it...
and please don't mention Ronaldhino as a contender...
Hats off to Zizou (and it's an italian writing this...)
yes we will repeat it again. On this action, Zidane had a very bad reaction.
But come on Materazzi is surely not an example !
To me, insults are as low as physical violence.
I really regret that Marco seems to focus only on Zidane's behaviour in that particular moment and simply doesn't want to know the bad words Materazzi said.
It was a bad thing to do for Zidane of course. But as Beckenbauer said, there must have been some serious provoking going on from Materazzi. Zidane isn't the type of player that does stuff like he did yesterday.
Italy has always been a team of individualists. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. I do feel that they have stood together more this time, because they have had some things to stand together about. Like Pessotto's attempted suicide and the whole scandal in Italy.
