For instance, how much would a taxi charge to take you from the Milan Central Railway Station to San Siro?

taxi drivers are ***holes
get the metro..
linea 3 (yellow) to DUOMO.
then linea 1 (red) to lotto
there's a (free) bus to san siro (home of inter fc!!) or you can walk there amongst all stones fan!!

You see, I want to avoid the metro actually grinning smiley
Scared of subways, yeah, I know I'm stupid.

I think there's a tram, number 16 if I'm not wrong, connecting the Central Railway Station with San Siro?

Lumi: provided you find one (all taxy cabs will be on strike on the 11th) to go to the stadium, you will never find one on your way back. 100% guaranteed, unless you book one, but in that case it will cost you a fortune.

In any case during the day it would cost you more or less 15 - 20 euro to go to the stadium if there is normal traffic.

If you want to avoid metros, then walk to piazza repubblica (100 m. straight in front of the station) take a tram to piazza duomo, change tram to line 16.

I would go by metro anyway-
