sympathy for the devil is now official released with the 2 versions on one dvd.
The first version released as one plus one and the second version released as sympathy for the devil.Also as extra an 45 min doc about jean luc goddard.
Can anyone tell me the differents about the 2 versions?

the soundtrack is slightly different - most notably in the final scenes of the Stones and on the beach.
it seems rather minor, but apparently it was enough to cause Godard to hit the film editor
right in front of everybody at the premiere.

i got this new edition because i was hoping for at least a little new footage with the Stones,
which isn't what i got - but it's strangely interesting to compare the two versions of the film,
and it's great to hear what they were really playing all the way through that final studio scene.
