Yes indeed Rockman that's a great set - I bought it on vinyl (4 albums) when it was released years ago.

I think I bought most of those Blood and Fire releases Rockman, then I remember the label shut down a few years back.
Interesting that their website is still up and you can see all info for all releases - but when you click to buy something nothing happens.

official site

But...just found this info via wiki:

Bllod and Fire history, discography, etc.

"In 2007, news leaked out via the company's popular message board that Blood and Fire had stopped trading as an active company. The loss of their American and French distributors due to bankruptcy as well as some unfortunate management decisions, combined with an industry-wide decline in sales were to blame.[1] Although the company declined to make any official announcement, it was effectively out of business.
In 2014 it was announced that the label would be relaunched in conjunction with VP Records, with Barrow overseeing future projects".

So maybe they're back in full swing via VP? I hope so.

I bought the Dennis Brown - The Promised Land 1977-1979 CD in 2002, and played it to death- literally - scratched and scuffed beyond repair.

Although many/most (or all) of the tracks on it can be found here and there on other comps., that particular one has some sentimental value.
Have only seen used copies available via various sites...hoping for a brand new copy some day!

When I go to the movies, you know
I'd like to see something more romantic
You know like, 'An Officer And A Gentleman'
Or something, something you can take the wife to
You know what I mean?

I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
To make some love
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
And make some love

Not sure what I think of this...beautiful and powerful, but a little pretentious? Maybe, it's just me...I can be a cynical so and so sometimes. I might just love it tomorrow. grinning smiley
