Wow! That's all I can say is "Wow"

So I assume you will be going to a lot of the concerts this summer, no?

That is unless you have to stay home to take care of your parents?

Otherwise you can fly on your own plane. And I assume you can afford good seats.

Do you have any good seat tickets already bought for any of the venues left on this tour?

From the Aqualung album. Seen them live twice (if you can say "them" with the constant lineup changes) and Ian Anderson is truly one weird grimacing goblin. Love it!

I'm a bit puzzled how every thread gets taken over by OT gossip lately.

Shattered is playing while I am listening to SG and putting together my mothers breakfast.

She has three chocolate chip cookies with a half of banana everyday.

Claudine is on now I don't type that fast (It says this very second).

To DandelionPowderman: You're confused re. my last post--sorry, I should've included the Quote/Post from onlystones. I was responding to onlystones' post back one page ago in which he told me about his private plane, etc and also about his parents, esp. his mother who has dementia for whom he caretakes.

I've had Sloopy on my mind since Columbus - Love this Louie, Louie / Sloopy medley by Johnny Thunders & the Oddballs (Japan 1991). Johnny puts his own spin on the lyrics, of course grinning smiley

Hairball to say your musical tastes are well rounded is quite an understatement, you cover lots of ground, man! Besides the Stones, I'm curious who your favorite artist/band is? Thanks.

peace

Yes well rounded would be an understatement, and perhaps eclectic would be an appropriate term?
Favorite artist/band? Tough! Grew up listening to the Beatles so they're part of my D.N.A. My older brother (4 years older) always blazed the trail for me as far as music.
I remember one of the first times I got stoned was with him and listening to Hendrix and Zeppelin, etc. - started playing guitar shortly after, and digging deep into the the history of the blues.
Then when my bro was in college (c.78 - I was still in high school) he dj'd for the college station on weekends for a "reggae review". I ended up getting all into that, as well as tons of punk rock.
Saw the Clash in 1980 at Santa Monica Civic and also Pink Floyd's The Wall at the L.A. Sports arena the same year, so that's kind of where my head was at during that time - all over the place.
Then when I was in college (c.81) I studied music appreciation, and with that learned all about classical music, etc.
From there it was all about digging deeper into every musical genre - be it folk, funk, country, pop, bluegrass, etc. etc., etc.

Long Story short - to quote the O'Jays: "I love music, any kind of music" thumbs up

*although there are might be some types of rap music that shouldn't be considered here lol.

Let It Bleed. How can you go wrong with that choice on the morning of a show?

Nekkei, Thanks for that wonderful clip titled Keith/You've Gotta Move. Can you please tell me all you know about this clip. please! smiling smiley

I've never seen anything so cool-and I've been absorbing every DVD & youtube clip of The Stones for over 6 solid, non-stop months. I see the Official Promo videos of course & then anything with halfway good quality. But this clip is so much more amateurish yet for real than anything else I've seen. This is now my favorite type of video-I want to find more, if there are any, of this informal quality.

In this I clearly see big bags under Mick's eyes which I have never seen in a photo or video of him, ever--just love the informal nature of how all of them are behaving.

I love this song anyway but am only use to the studio version on the regular studio album. It sounds so different in this clip. Who all are singing? Is it both Mick & Keith? Or Mick & one or more of the black guys they're walking down the street with? I don't think I hear Keith, unless it's along with Mick in the part where they are not singing the words but are more like humming the words.

And where was it shot? LA or UK, do you happen to know? and in what year?

Sorry so many questions at once. I'm still new to learning so much about these guys!

Any info you know I will quite appreciate.

Sticky Fingers. I must play this several times today in honor of the loosely themed Zip Code tour. They will play at least one song from SF tonight 6/3/2015.

But as I only listen to the Stones, there is no way to listen to SF and not get a thrill.

@Tauk: I'm not that deep into the stuff myself. I suppose you'd have to look at C*cksucker Blues, the clip seems to be compiled scenes from that movie. Of what I am certain is that Mick is not on the recording and it doesn't relate to the footage anyway. From the Riffmasters vocal sound I guess it was recorded in the 90s. Sure someone with more patience could tell you much more about the movie (I've only watched it once)
