Hasnt Puff the Magic Dragon already been ruined for children a long time ago? Wasnt it all about smoking pot or something?

Don't you mean "poof"?
I've never heard them called puffs here in England. All the terms we have for them are a little outdated and in all honesty, not used that often. Maybe it's because they're more accepted these days, I don't know. We just call them gay. At least, I do.

This cracked me up. MLC if that is all the proof you have for me I don't buy it or Angie's story. And that clip of Mick in handcuffs.. Come on, he was messing around for the cameras
why would angela bowie say(i heard her on live at 5)that they were in bed together.im sure its true, unless you believe they were naked under the sheets, just to get into the song writing mood.lol.

Look boys and girls.... everybody slept w/everybody else in teh 60s & 70s.
"Pictures of us through the steamy haze."
At least one out of here realized what times we had in the 60ies and 70ies. Happy days and no AIDS. Don't forget that. Feel free and try.... and take the occassion. Those were the times.
OK, MicksBrain is gonna have to let everyone know the truth to this story (some hearts will be broken like my good galpal - sorry my dear, I must tell what I know) Here we go:
Many years ago when Howard Stern had his TV show on Channel 9 every Saturday Night in New York he had Angela Bowie on as a guest. After some small talk he got around to asking her about this story. She said yes, she came home one day and found Jagger and Bowie in bed together. Well, Howard keep harping on her to explain EXACTLY what she meant. After a lot of double talk he finally broke her down. Yes she found them in a very big bed together, fully clothed (maybe they took their shoes off), laying on top of the covers sleeping. He asked her if they had had sex earlier. She said she NEVER said that. She said that all she ever said was she found them in bed together. The more she talked the more you got the feeling like nothing happened and she was using the double meaning phrase "in bed together" basically to sell books. Howard gave her some static and she said "I never said they were having sex" Sounded to me like they probably smoked some herb (or drank too much) and eventually feel asleep.Much ado about nothing.....
That's the story from the horses mouth - There you have it.
MLC, I see you were just using this thread to take another stab at Jagger with no proof of what you are saying at all. Why do you bother to come here, just to piss people off by bashing the Stones..

J-J-Flash,
Whether or not Mick engaged in a homosexual encounter is not Stones-bashing. If you took it that way, then perhaps it is because you do not approve of that lifestyle. It doesn't bother me in the least if he had sex with a man. I much prefer the rumor of Mick having sex with Bowie thand Mick having sex with Madonna. I find THAT appalling.
Cindy I am simply referring to MLC's posts over the years, the only times he says anything its making fun of the Stones or saying the Taylor is the reason the Stones became what they are. You can clearly tell that he thinks its funny to say Mick is gay. And if he really looks at things that he gives as examples of Mick being gay than he appears to be a homophobic. And I took some offense to what he wrote because I am English and have a gay uncle so it bothers me to hear people make it sound like such a bad thing.
Thanks for explaining! I guess I am not too familiar with MLC's repeated posts talking about Mick being gay. I just saw your last one and thought that's what you were doing! Sorry for the misunderstanding - I guess we were both just doing the same thing, trying to get people to think it's not a bad thing (I'm not gay either, but do have a lot of gay friends and don't like bashers, I'm all up for some good natured ribbing, but bashing is another thing)
Have a good one! CindyC
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
No prob Cindy. And MLC doesn't always post things about Jagger being gay, he just usually bashes the band and praises Taylor repreatedly..
Off the subject, well sort of. Someone metioned Howard Stern above and I have seen recordings on people's trade lists that says Mick Taylor on the Howard Stern show, what is this all about, did he play on the show?

Nice try MicksBrain to alleviate the pain and suffering of so many homophobic and/or nervous straight males on the site but............that's a little revisionist history to say the least. Bowie sued Angela and won an injunction against her because she had gone on several TV shows and radio shows promoting her book. This pissed Bowie off big time 'cause he had paid her off to go silently into the night.......by doing Stern and other interviews she had broken the confidentiality agreements of their very strict divorce decree. As part of the settlement agreement (after Bowie sued her for violating the divorce decree) she had to repudiate many of the books claims as unsubstantiated......or ambiguous. Therefore, the "clarification" that she never "saw" them having sex..................But you can bet one of their Rolls Royces that Bowie rode Mick pretty hard...........if you'll excuse the pun...........
Flash - Jagger doesn't have a problem being bi-sexual, you do!!
He's admitted it, on numerous occasions, Keith & Brian talked about it. When Keith was pissed at him after his 1st solo CD came out and Mick talked about touring to promote it, Keith dropped the line: If he ever tour's without me, I'll slit the @#$%& throat!! What does that tell you!!!!
I don't care, I'm just stating what I've read / heard.
Sorry to burst your bubble but the dude swings both ways..
MLC

Hey Rip This,
I'm not questioning you on this, but my memory was that their stated she couldn't talk about their marriage for a certain number of years, 25 perhaps? I believe the book came out after the agreed-upon years ended.
I'll look into it later, just thought I'd mention it.

Cindy you are partially correct. After a specific period she could discuss certain particulars of their relationship i.e. their lifestyle together, having a child together, being Mrs. Angela Bowie etc...but not about Bowie........ Bowie took exception to and sued successfully to stop her from divulging specific information about him......he won and as we all know she disappeared kinda quickly after that.
MLC are you serious, you think because Keith called Mick a @#$%& once that means he is bi. Haven't you ever gotten mad at someone and called them a name like that. Do you realize that English people use terms like that or @#$%& or bastard much more freely than Americans. Or we call cigaretts fags, I bet you probably think that is a reference to Jagger being gay too..
Your earlier post says Mick has admitted this several times but don't give us any quotes.
Your posts and name calling are very childish, I don't care if Mick is bi or not but if you are going to make assuptions and say its a fact like that than give some proof or reasoning. Don't just say something he does looks gay or he was called a name by someone..
In the end I am not sure what the big deal is here.......that era was full of ambiguity and experimentation with drugs and sex. If they had sex then great..........they are probably more enlightened as a result. If they didn't then they sure got a lot of publicity and notoriety out of it...and helped create their super icon status.......looks like a win win situation to me............
JJ - Flash - I read alot of different stuff, can't pinpoint the exact publication I read Jagger's quote but when I run across it again, I'll let you know. I'm not making this up because I am trying to stick it to M. Jagger!! I'm a Stones fan, been one for over 40 years and am just passing along information. If you don't like the info, what can I say??
I'm telling you I read a quote from Jagger saying he's bi-sexual. I've passed along different quotes and stories to back that up, some might not be cold hard facts, just what I could remember at the time.
The story about Brian & Keith from the early days sure pointed to that conclusion on their part's, they used to make fun of Jagger in those days for being "femine"

Didn't Brian and Jagger mess around too though? That's pretty hypercritical of Brian if that's the case. (I've only read that rumor on here)
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
