I agree it is one of if not the best solo Jagger song. It totally smokes a lot of the Stones material, and everything Keith has ever done solo. You know, Keith calls this album Dogshit in the Doorway, but at least I can at least tell the difference b/w Mick's songs and I can understand what he's singing. Goddess is a fantastic album and God Gave Me Everything shuold've been a bigger hit. The video rocks. In fact, I'll go as far to say that I hope the next thing Jagger does is another solo album and a tour. I think Goddess is more interesting than ABB and it's 100% apparent that ABB is mostly Jagger's work, with very little input from Keith or the other guys (not Ronnie's or Charlie's fault tho). I think with all the hassle with Keith's fall, having to play songs that Keith knows well and the problems with Ronnie's rehab stints and Charlie's want to stop world tours, Mick should do a tour by himself. He could easily sell out theaters and concert halls throughout the world. If Virgin actually promoted his next album it cuold sell better and people would get more excited about it. A solo Jagger tour is very foreseeable I think if his next solo album has a semi-decent showing. B/w the next album, Goddess, W. Spirit, Old Habits Die Hard, and his other stuff plus a few Stones songs, he has more than enough material for a kickass tour.

I agree with the first part of your statement. Disagree with the second
it's quite good - but Wandering Spirit has a plethora of songs that are better. (starting with Out of Focus, Put Me in the Trash, Hang on to me Tonight, and Evening Gown . . .)

LMFAO!! GITD sucks bad, the songs are good but the production is horrible. Jagger won't tour alone, he can make the double of the money with a short Stones' tour that a whole world tour on his own.
Mediocre song IMO. Awful guitar sound, horrible solo. Forced vocals. The song reaches compairable songs like Wired All Night, Lonely At The Top and Put Me In The Trash to the anckles only IMO.

the best track on Godess, but not by far the best of Mick solo songs! There are a lot f songs of Wandering Spirit far superior: Sweet Thing, Wired All Night, Out Of Focus, Don't Tear Me Up, Think, Evening Gown, and of course Wandering Spirit....

I like that song a lot, but aside from that one and a couple of others, I can't stand Goddess In The Doorway. Embarassingly bad are the words that come to mind - too bad such a great song had the misfortune of being on a shit album.
If Jagger were to make another solo album I think he should ask Mick Taylor to play guitar on it since they seemed to work so well together (Winter, Moonlight Mile, etc).
