The German promotor has send this mail today which says: Frankfurt 2006 cancelled, That means no show in Frankfurt in 2007:

Trotz intensiver Bemühungen, das ursprünglich für den 14.07.2006 geplante

Konzert in Frankfurt nachholen zu können, haben die Rolling Stones jetzt

mit großem Bedauern bekannt gegeben, dass dieses Konzert leider aus

terminlichen Gründen abgesagt werden muss.



Um ihren Fans trotz allem zu ermöglichen, die bis lang größte Show nicht

zu verpassen, haben die Rolling Stones keine Mühen gescheut. Daher wird

den Ticketinhabern des Frankfurt-Konzertes ein einmaliger Sonderrabatt in

Höhe von 20,00 Euro eingeräumt, wenn sie stattdessen Tickets für eines der

anderen Deutschland-Konzerte erwerben möchten. Die Karteninhaber werden

gebeten, ihre Tickets an den Vorverkaufsstellen, an denen sie die Tickets

erworben haben, zurückzugeben. Dort erhalten sie auch alle Informationen,

wie der einmalige Sonderrabatt für mögliche andere Tickets zu erhalten ist.

I just got an e-mail from ticketnet.fr (Paris) and they told me they'll refund me by check. A foreign check will cost me more or less 25 eur. I know because I just had one from spain. Stupid!

I would complain about the check if thats the fact.
to pay 25,- € to cash a check is ridiculous.
I guess you didn't pay for the ticket by check

you would need another refund for cheeky check fee

I do not see the point why not playing in Frankfurt in 2007...i mean, not playing Frankfurt this summer due to rescheduling chaos is one thing...but if they go on tour in 2007 anyway, what may be the reason not playing in Frankfurt.
This means no german show next summer or what ?

Im so fed up whit all this Stones no-tour stuff guys...I dont know..I wish I could just quit...but you all know if you are addicted to something like the Stones, things are not that easy to handle...

I thought the deadline for purchasing the discounted tickets was last Thursday? That's what the email from Getgo said.

When will they anounce that Amsterdam II and Brussels will be also canncelled and not postponed to 2007?

maybe they know something that we don't know - like "Frankfurt will be evacuated in january 2007 "
why on earth did they change the plans for 2007?

The last thursday dadline was for the postponed show. Now the show is canceled and theres is a new deadline for sending tickets back. I got a new email from eventim and i think u will get a new one from getgo soon.

I don`t believe to a Europe Tour in 2007.
I can´t believe that there is no vacancy for concert in Frankfurt 2007.

I think some/few of the postponed concerts will happen 2006.
The rest will be cancelled.

I agree Gerhard. They will not even sell as many tickets as this year with so many fans pissed off.

On the subject of refunds I must say at least Ticketmaster just simply refund the full charge straight to your credit card. I returned tickets for Aug 20th when they switched to Twickenham (because in the meantime I bagged a great seat for the 22nd) and the refund was virtually immediately made to my card. For Paris, like others, I have had to return the tickets by registerd mail and am now waiting for a refund which from previous postings I gather will be a Euro Cheque!

Despite intensive endeavours to postpone the Rolling Stones show in Frankfurt, The Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang European Tour now has to announce with great regrets that this show has to be cancelled, too, due to rescheduling reasons.

However, in order to assist German fans with the opportunity to see the Rolling Stones, all fans with tickets for the show in Frankfurt will receive a special price reduction of 20 euros on any ticket for any other show in Germany.

Fans are kindly asked to return their tickets to the ticket outlet where they originally purchased their tickets. They will receive all necessary information on the special access to tickets for other German shows there.

to say they cancel a show thats a year away due to scheduling problems is an insult to anyones intelligence...are they suggesting the stadium is fully booked? That their itinerary for 2007 is already too full? what a crock of bullshit - almost as big a load of crap as suggesting they made 'intensive endeavours' to reschedule it

why cant they just be honest and say "we're not coming ..not enough of you bought tickets, so we cant be arsed" ?

Yes - I think loosing money etc. and all the problems with personal planning wouldn´t be so painful if they would treat the whole thing more openly - make statements and give honest information etc.

Concerning the German cancelled shows I have the strong feeling that the local tour promotor didn´t really do a great job. It is a rather small agency - may be they are totally lost dealing with the Rolling Stones. AND As far as I know there is more than just one big stadion in Frankfurt....everything booked out in 2007 ????

And I also feel ashamed a little bit for my country - Germany used to be a big market for the Stones and now - economy is so down that we can´t even afford the Rolling Stones any more ( I know the ticket prices are too high - to be honest I cannot afford it either - but I´d rather drink water and eat dry bread than miss the Stones)

ÁNYWAY this tour I´m really pissed with this whole business. Each time I was already very excited months before a tour but now I still cannot feel it.....hope it´ll come soon despite the frustration

I heard that the Frankfurt show was 80% sold out.
The stadium is free for 2007 because there are no other concerts there and not that many football games. So it is no problem to find a date for 2007.

the contempt, being shown towards their european fanbase is
a disgrace.
