1. Keith Richards.
His riffs are innovative, his technique is revolutionary. He's also great with an acoustic. And, most importantly, he inspired me to start playing the guitar and I still find myself imitating lots of his techinques.
2. Robert Johnson.
Talk about innovatism. This man is a legend, one of my heroes!! I love playing his songs, although it's almost impossible. The way he can take a riff in a 12-bar blues pattern and just.. extend it to be like a 13-bar blues(or shorten it to for example an 11-bar), depending on how he feels, that's magical!! His riffs are so alive.. they really rock 'n' roll!!
3. Eric Clapton.
Eric is, without doubt, the best blues soloist on this planet. I just love his Strat tone; it's the best sound there is. I saw him live recently on his 2006 tour and you hear that same tone so great live.. Layla was just 100% energy. Great guitarist.
4. Julian Sas.
The name probably doesn't mean anything to you, but to me, he's one of the best guitarist I've ever seen. He's a dutch blues guitarist/singer and he has insipred me a lot in the way I play the guitar and just being a cool guy!! He's an idol of me for sure. His playing hits you right in the old ticker!! I've seen him 4 times now, and his performances are electrifying!! Great stuff. His band is awesome too.
Infact, here's a picutre of him and his band and I'm on it too.. my head's sticking out behind that drunk in the right corner.

5. BB King.
80 years old and still one of the greatest. I saw him in 2005, and his show was.. incredible. He is so relaxed on stage, but his playing is so energetic, even though it's not at all fast or something. Just cool.
6. Chuck Berry.
What can I say? Chuck is so cool, innovative, rocking, it's great.. his licks and tricks are what rock 'n' roll is all about!! His playing inspired me very much too.. he's great!! And ofcourse one of Keith's favourites aswell!!
7. Ron Wood.
To me, he deserves a place in this list, because he's always been an example to me. I'd always walk by the music shop when I was 7 years old or something and see that sunburst Strat I always see Ronnie with too!! And I'd beg to my dad to buy it for me.. never got that far, I'm afraid. But Ronnie's cool. His playin' on the '81 tour is awesome.
8. Billy Gibbons.
Billy Gibbons is such a cool guitarist. The beard. The image. Watching him is like in one way you're rocking, but at the same time you're crapping your pants from laughing. He has made some of the best guitar songs around.. Sharp Dressed Man.. Gimmie All Your Loving.. Tush.. that is ROCK!!
9. Johnny Winter.
What can I say? Johnny is such an awesome blues guitarist. His playing is.. cool.. he can take a solo and just go on and on and on without letting it get boring or repetitive. His work with Muddy Waters was good. But his solo stuff was also amazing. I really dig songs like Be Careful With A Fool and Mean Town Blues.
10. Jimi Hendrix.
Not at the top of my list, he's never really interessted me that much. Burnin' up and smashing guitars is not my thing. But, I have to admit, his playing(and singing by the way) is great.
I may have missed something in this list but there ya go!!
