Billy reminisces about the Stones, the Beatles and
other musicians he had worked with in the past.
Chicago/August '04
May he rest in peace.

Thanks for the scoop! That's pretty good if that's his only screw up!

Back to Billy - I was just listening to the radio and the dj's were talking about Billy. They mentioned that he had an incident in the 80's where he was accused for acting inappropriately with a 16 y/o boy, and I think they said he was arrested for having child pornography.

I sincerely hope that he was not molesting children. That would seriously tarnish my well wishes for him.

his recording in 1963 (at age 16) with Sam Cooke on Little Red Rooster remains one of my alltime favorite organ pieces....I think it's the best ever version of that Willie Dixon classic. I mean here you have perhaps one of the greatest singers on the planet with a kid playing and Sam actually calls out his name during the solo....

Sam Cooke's voice was amazing.

Autodog

Would I be in order requesting that you edit the OT from your thread title ?

I think Billy P was too much a part of this band to be "off topic".
maybe not in recent years...but many of us remember the tours when he was.

i'm tube-challenged. if you're a Sam Cooke fan at all - it can be found on among other compilations a great set (SACD-enhanced too) called Portrait of a Legend...a great set to have if you need just one of his....

just played it last nite in Billy's honor (along with aforementioned Rooster/Cooke)....good party album...doesn't lean too heavily on MT...the excellent sounding boot from the tour is a better listen in that regard....

Great video Erik. It really is adorable. It's amazing when you see a natural talent like that. Some people were born so gifted.
