Congrats to all our Euro Stone fans!
At least you'll now get to see the
Stones this summer. Hope you enjoy
the ABB Tour as much as I have
during the 2 Toronto 2005 shows!

PS: Keith rocks!

Salar,

Can't you make it in Paris on July 28th instead of June 29. It is on a Friday.
But as Davido states it : Keith rocks !!!!

They're down to 3 in a row now, with the new European schedule.

European soccer stadiums generally have two periods a year off.

Winterstop and summerstop. During summer break the Stones tend to show up -- one in three years that is.

Winterstop will probably too cold. In winters they tend to play US indoor shows.

Popular believe would be that if they want to stick to the planned venues they'd have to postpone for almost a year, not to intervene with soccergames or cold.

On the other hand, during the soccer seasons the main teams only use the venue once in two weeks. The other week they're elsewhere. Would a two week break not be enough to build a stage and have a gig? They'd have to plan through the soccer agenda, which wouldn't be too difficult.

Great to see that everything's back on track, but as someone who has booked trips to Gothenburg and Brno, a bit gutted that these two seemed to have slipped through the net this summer! That's a few quid down the drain, not to mention the hassle I had trying to get time off work, but at least I've got the British gigs to look forward to I suppose. Think I may just have to go further in the red and check out flights to Milan...

You will see the tour schedule is now adjusted to Keith not to Mick's voice. Kind of interesting. One show. Two days rest. Then two shows with only one day rest in-between. Then two days rest. Slow and nice start when you are recovering from a head injury. But I am still impressed. Most people with a head injury would rest 3 months.

Some people don't have to rest at all, some people die from head injury. Everything in between is possible. You cannot generalize that at all.

I have to rest for 1 day after a head injury due to a visit in the local pub

Well that's probably a different kind of head injury... :-)

Ticket sales must be rather poor in Germany! They even will establish shuttle services from Nuremberg to Munich and Leipzip to Berlin. And you will get 20 Euro rebat on your refund if you will buy a new ticket for any German show. Oh boy!

Yep, Gazza, that's what I've tried to explain, but to be honest my main concern is if they will actually tour Europe next year...

Winterstop only in northern europe. Football championships in south Europe only have a small Christmas break, I think. No way there'll be a winter tour in Europe, as the average capacity of arenas in Europe is far from arenas in the US.

If I'm the owner of a football club, having in mind how high the salaries are in football today and how much money is involved in major european leagues, I highly doubt I'll let my stadium for a huge mass of Stones fans before the league is over...

Which one is the official IORR thread about tour dates??? Is it this one, innit? Anyway, I posted this on the Barna 2007 confirmed thread, about the spanish promoter "confirming" the show next year:
------
I don't know what to think. The spanish promoters -gamerco- have put in their website the official statement you can read in RS.com, BUT where RS.com states that the first shows are POSPONED, gamerco says "POSPONED UNTIL NEXT YEAR", adding the 2007 reference to the official statement. I honestly wouldn't take this a a confirmation...

Seems that a ticket for the first Paris show doesn't get you in to the rescheduled show. Apparently all tickets to be returned (both shows) so clearly not enough tickets for rescheduled show for us all. Just when I thought it was all working out nicely.

I hope we will get dates for next year's tour very soon.It would be cool if they added some more shows for 2007

I hope they will do about 20 gigs in Europe this summer and a winter tour in America before they make a complete European tour next summer.
That would be the Biggest bang.

Bigger Bash on July 31

Presume they will have to move it to another date.

Erhard I dont know why they moved it either,I guess to get an extra days rest .

If they do Europe in Summer 2007, I am going to take a leave from work and bring the family to Europe for the entire summer. I will see every show and say Farewell as this will truly be the swan song for the Stones and what a bigger bang that will be!

Ullevi is booked for football on September 6th and 10th.
The Stones need about three days to set up, and one or two days to clear out.
