Here's an article with some truly perplexing statements made by Jon Bon Jovi on the Stones: [uk.news.yahoo.com]

Bon Jovi: 'I won't be like The Stones' Monday May 29, 11:50 AM By WENN

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi finds the aging Rolling Stones a musical embarrassment and vows to retire at the right age.

The Keep The Faith singer wants to grow old gracefully away from the stage and admits he finds it amazing the Stones are still rocking in their sixties.

Bon Jovi, 44, says, "I won't be like the Stones.

"You probably heard Keith (Richards) fell out of a tree a few days ago. I don't envision myself being like that.

"The minute that this is all nostalgia, that it's the fat guys, I'm out. Until then, I can't stop."

I don't know what his beef is with the Stones. They may be in their 60s, but they still put on the best show there is to see. And their new material may not be Exile quality, but it's certainly better than anything Bon Jovi EVER put out.

The Rolling Stones worse song is 100x better then bon jovi's best song.

Come to think of it, I can't name 1 bon jovi song, I know he had a few days in the sun in the late 80's early 90's?

Something must be in the water in new jersey. LOL

Well for starters, there are no fat guys in the Stones. Unlike those well fed jersey boys like Sambora, who risks blowing out of those supertight leather trousers at any gig. But insists on wearing them. I hate Bon jovi. Not because of those trivial statements; they are just the epidemy of corporate music to me. Every, I mena EVERY song sound sthe smae. You can take any verse and use any chorus to it; all interchangeable.
Oh yes, they do ahve a fast version and a slow version. The slow ones always have to do with cowboys.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

He's more of an old fart embarassement at 44 than the Stones are in their Sixties, also the little @#$%& should just keep his trap shut, he has as much talent as my hamster

Nice to hear some Bon Jovi-bashing here! Sometimes, I think I'm the only one, who want to flush him down the drains.

What about:

Feels so good it oughta be illegal
I got my vaccination from a phonograph needle.
I never grew up, and I'll never grow old.
Blame it on the love - of rock'n roll!
Blame It On The Love Of Rock & Roll (from Keep The Faith 1992)

I think they're a good band.

i wonder if bon jovi at 44 is able to climb on a coconut tree. think he's too fat. would need an elevator. if bon jova + sambori were on a coconut tree, the tree would break. bon jovi is rich, fat, satisfied of himself and leader of one of the worst fm band. think he was already old at the age of 18.

If you put Bone Jovi's brain in a bird it would fly backwards

Consider the source. This is a band of Bruce wannabees. The E street band along with Southside Johnny were the real deal from Jersey, not these twinkies.

Dear Jon,
I usually dont like to respond to this kind of stuff but I can't resist. Your music and pretty boy poseing has always made me laugh. I mean there is a place for this kind of stuff...you know thoses mags for the 14 and 16 year old girls. As far as any kind of credablity in the music business you have none! You can put the Stones right in there with Muddy Waters,Holwin Wolf,Chuck Berry,Johnny Cash,Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. These are guys who have preformed and who are still preforming late into there carers and while there might be a bit of nostlgia envolved, they can still for the most part deliver a good show or write a good song. To put you Johnny boy in this group would be a joke! You could never write a good song or do a decent show!So lets put you in with Leaf Garret,Donny Osmond,Adam Ant and Rick Springwhatever. Do we want to see these guys at 60? No!. Did we ever want to see them? I think not. But hey those 14 and 16 year old girls are gonna grow up and get a bit of nostliga,so you never know keep it up and you may have a future! Hey Jon, dont flatter yourself it dosen't suit you!

PS Do us and yourself a favor. Grow old gracefully and leave NOW!

PSS I cant spell..Im just the guitar player.

What can you expect from a guy who complains about Guns N' Roses getting more press than he does 14 years after their last proper record ?

Haven't you seen Ronnie lately? the guy is a porker!

As a guy from Jersey, I have to say that Bon Jovi epitomizes all the bad things that people associate with the state... big hair, loud mouth, and nothing to back it up. What a joke.

Springsteen is New Jersey, everyone knows that. At least he tries to evolve; Bon Jovi has one sound, no range, and no talent.

I think he is referring to the fans when he says "it's all about the fat guys." I think what he is saying is that only the old timers with beer guts want to listen to the Stones. I would bet my ass, however, that there are more 18-35 people attending any given Stones show than you will ever see at any Bon Jovi concert.
