Did anyone else see this? On his "New Rules" segment, Bill said that, "New rule: airplane black boxes now need to be made out of Keith Richards."

He went on to say after surviving over 40 years of booze and drugs, Richards fell out of a tree and then crashed a jet ski...without letting the cigarette fall out of his mouth (there was a pic of Keef playing guitar with a fag dangling out of his mouth).

He also said something about, rather than injecting botox to stay young, maybe we should inject heroin. It was funny, and thankfully not mean-spirited.

Was that shown in the US ?

but they forgot to mention the bat blood & sleeping upside down

Maher also referred to "Neo-Con" and the Stones earlier in the show when he was talking about anti-Bush songs.

Sounds like a very good Stones addition to Stones mythology, heard no doubt by more people than bought ABB...

LOL, well honestly there wasn't much more to it than what I described. It was a little 30-second segment. The crowd loved it.

Yeah, it was well done. Making humor out of the stones myth, but from a loose & friendly perspective. bill maher is excellent, IMO.

more than u asked 4 open-G i'm sho but i'm givin' it a go:

he's a comedian with a talk show, used to be called 'politcally incorrect'
was on network in the states for awhile after a long cable run...
a little too hot for the networks to handle in these particular media daze in the states if you know what i mean...
tho nothing outrageously naughty or mean spirited...

he's sort of a libertarian kinda left leaning guy...
back on hbo cable now; has some bits and a panel...
i, too, appreciated his keith remarks on the show....

olbermann, an msnbc reporter, and a lot of the tv talking heads have been making remarks with semi-news bitz, as they slowly came out about keith...
they weren't on it from the getgo like everyone here...

i haven't been watching the regular talk shows to field their jokes, but i imagine they are starting to leak on out...

he (olbermann said something after the drainage operation; that keith had it "apparently because he wanted ANOTHER hole in his head from which to ingest drugs" sorta cheap shot; sorta funny...

others have suggested to forget the stem cell controversaries;
..."just get some DNA from Keith Richards because that would cure ANYTHING!"

Bill Maher is very respected in the US for his comedic skills and twisted wit.
I'm sure he's a big fan of the Stones.
He means no harm.

On the other hand, Oberman is hated by most US citizens.
The guy is a complete idiot!

Olbermann is NOT hated by most US citizens. He does some very good reporting on stories that don't get a lot of play in the rest of the corporate media. He's certainly better than that cretin O'Reilly.

That said, Olbermann's jokes about Keith were in bad taste.

Olbermann is the best of the "legitimate" talk newsguys! Don't know about his rnr knowledge, though.
