Anyone going to see Clapton?

Eric's tour begins tomorrow in Europe. Anybody going. It should make for a good show. He's good at mixing up the setlist from tour to tour. Also he's got Derrik Trucks as his guitarist. I think EC plays better when he's got someone really pushing him. Hopefully some U.S. dates will appear soon.

Should be excellent.

I saw him in Macon in 1978. He was very drunk and/or stoned. Made a nice comment about Duane Allman before playing Layla. Duane is buried less than a mile from the Coliseum.

get any songs on tape to share!!!!!!

thanks - MLC

In addition to Derek, I believe Eric still has the outstanding Doyle Bramhall II along....triple guitar attack. Trucks is the best slide guitarist on Planet Earth at the moment - this will be the closest thing to a Derek & the Dominoes we're ever gonna see....

Don't know Harm,

Maybe Eric invites someone who he played with at John Mayall's birthday bash,
someone he put his arm around and walked off the stage together & laughing..
Someone who's pretty damn good on Slide also......

his initials are: M. T. and he once played with the Stones!!!

You never know?????????????????

Coming over from the USA to see 4 shows @ the RAH, May 22, 23, 25 and 26. In addition to the great band that has been posted earlier the opening act will be Robert Cray. I am stoked!

By the way, in the middle of the Clapton RAH run, May 24, is a night off between EC shows @ the RAH and Derek Trucks on that night off will be playing with his band @ the Mean Fiddler. I am sure there will be many guest appearances.

I'll go if he comes back to the U.S. & if the timing is right.

I just scored 2 seats TODAY! A friend and I will be in London for one night, May 17. We've been looking for seats to no avail, except for the outrageously high prices through brokers and ebay. Well, yesterday we came across some on ebay that the guy wanted to unload, since he had some already for 3 other dates. So, we're on the floor, row 7 and paid face. Can't wait!I've never been to Royal Albert Hall, but to me it's kind of legendary.

nice - 4 D&D songs and a return of one of his greatest latter-era songs, Running on Faith. Excellent setlist.

I haven't seen an excellent set list post on this board in a while.

Decent set list. Only problem is that it will for the most part remain static throughout the tour.
