Hey Bro,'
We must be the same age. I remember being 7 years old and playing at a friend's house. His mother was very young and very HOT!!! as I recall. Satisfaction came on the radio and she was singing along and dancing to it in their kitchen. I remember my buddy kept saying, "Come on, Luke, let's go outside and play." I think I said something like, "Uh, you go on ahead, I'll catch up with you."

Not sure if I heard Satisfaction from the first weeks;
cause I was just 2½ years old by then.
But when Metamophosis was released they played Out Of Time
on our national chart Kvällstoppen. That was a strong thing.
Retro man already at 11-12 years of age...

Paint It Black taught me what R&R was all about when I was 12.

EMOTIONAL RESCUE. It was the summer of 1980 and it was just one of those songs that summer that everybody loved. I knew of the Stones but it was that song that made me want to look further into their catelogue. I soon had Made In The Shade and Hot Rocks so you can imagine the obsessive behavior that came afterwards!

The first song I paid attention to was Paint it, black when I was about 8 I think...And I remember really liking It's all over now,The last time and 19th nervous breakdown when I first heard them (the first record I heard was a greatest hits album if you haven't already guessed)

Who the f*ck is Mick Jagger?

OK...here's the most ridiculous one of all...

It was "Just Another Night". I was 13. I loved that song, and bought the "She's the Boss" record.

I didn't even know who Mick Jagger was. Then my mom told me he was the singer for the Rolling Stones (I'd heard of them, of course). So I started borrowing their records from the library. My mom was a big Beatles fan, but she had "Goats Head Soup" (because of "Angie") and "December's Children" (because of "She Said Yeah"). She also had a few singles, like "19th Nervous Breakdown". Then, I started buying all of them, and the rest is history!

My first "new" release was "Dirty Work". I still remember buying that on March 26, 1986, the day it came out...along with "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll". I loved Dirty Work, except for "Too Rude".

I was 14 when I heard "Satisfaction" for the first time, and that was it for me.

Luke, funny story about your friend's mom. I think we all had some friends whose moms were hot, don't you think?

Thanks DaveG...She made an impression on me, that's for sure. Looking back on it she was probably in her late 20's. Honestly, to this day, every time I hear Satisfaction I still think about Mrs. Baker...ha ha

Did you try to balance her sheets?

I'm trying to think of a funny accountant comeback, CindyC, but the only one that comes to mind is, "Oh, I'll spread her spreadsheets." but I was 7 years old, for crying out loud!!!....a little too young to fully "grasp the situation," (wink, wink).

2005 January. I was playing a videogame called Twisted Metal Black of course the theme was Paint It, Black. And I thought it was a KICK ASS song. so I went on my computer and listened to it in my brother's music collection (wich had Forty Licks). And was hooked on the band ever since. And started buying albums ever since, first album I bought (he already bought Forty Licks) was Live Licks, thanks to the commercial I saw on TV. Second and third album was Steel Wheels and Dirty Work (cause they were the cheapest).

Oh and I was 14, now I'm 15. I already know what year every album came out on, and the tracklistings (except the first few 60s albums) by heart. And I already know a lot of Stones history, when I'm bored I do Stones research.
