I've got Munster 1976, but I think it's time for a change..... I force myself to play the 3rd rate recordings sometimes. Have you got a suggestion, Tod? I gave you Woodstock 1978, some weeks ago....
I'm just listening to Talk Is Cheap. Some song titles are really fitting now: Don't TAKE IT SO HARD after falling. He had a STRUGGLE with that tree. MAKE NO MISTAKE, don't climb the tree. YOU DON'T MOVE ME said the tree. I was here first. HOW I WISH everything is gonna be fine soon. He should be LOCKED AWAY, so he couldn't do such a mess. And every news about his actual health MEANS A LOT.
StonesTod, I followed your suggestion. Now, you follow mine (please), El Mocambo 77! THe opening song Worried About You is one of the top 10 Stones highlights for me ever. 2 comments: - Jimmy Page talked about Dance Little Sister from this concert, saying...."listen to this, and you'll forgive him for everything!". I believe it's Ronnie who plays the great stuff there...am I wrong? - Hand Of Fate...listen to the last 3 sec! It sounds like the strings are burning, a kind of feedback-sound that can't be described. These strings are HOT!
Didn't you see the smiley? Phil's great! Just wondered if you had any comments, especially about the work of Ronnie vs. Keith in Dance Little Sister....
ronnie's got the lead on DSL,for sure...been awhile since I heard the mocambo version...i'll give you my update impressions later. i remember the baton rouge '75 version being pretty good...
Baton Rouge's really cooking! I often wonder why Kansas City 1975 isn't mentioned on this board.... It's even better! There was a book (norwegian) claiming that Kansas City was the best concert in 1975..... I haven't heard ALL shows from 75, but KC is definately among the best. Anyways, El Mocambo beats everything from 1975-77.
Mocambo DSL goin' now - funny how they speed it up after the first bridge...Ronnie tears it up. Yep - Ronnie owns this one...KR just playin' riffs behind ol' ronald....
