This evening, I just enjoyed a glorious cycle of Robert Palmer solo albums, are there any of you who's hearts soar while listening to:

1. Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley
2. Pressure Drop
3. Double Fun

He is such an underrated songwriter and interpreter of songs and rarely do you hear him being name-checked anywhere.

RP RIP

I don't know why, but I love Looking for Clues. It's kind of a weird song.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

OK,
I'll admit another guilty pleasure...POWER STATION!

He seemed like a pretty cool dude, didn't he?

Power Station was terrible IMHO.

But Palmer solo was a class act. Ofcourse his very soulful first albums, but also hitalbums like Clues (ofcourse), Riptide & Heavy Nova.
Very underrated as a songwriter but not as a vocalist... everybody knows what a great voice he had (I hope).

Bad Case of Lovin' You (Doctor, Doctor) is a great rock song (although not written by Palmer but by John 'Moon' Martin).

Oh yeah, I can't believe you mentioned it Cindy: "Looking for Clues". great lil song. Those vibes.
And don't forget one of his early hits "Sneakin Sally thru the Alley". Loved him more back then. I didn't go for the whole uptight "Addicted to Love" persona. He alwasy looked painfully constipated.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
