You can have any opinion you want but,it is a fact that it is perfunctory.

.....perhaps it is.........and that may explain partially why the band's music doesn't get the respect today that it once received

I Go Wild is like another You Got Me Rocking to me. I understand whey they play it live though, it isn't difficult to execute live, and it gets the crowd going in stadiums. But for me as a fan it is getting boring to hear it live.
If they only play it like 1 out of 10 shows than it is okay and would be more or less fresh.
Would be nice to hear them play another mid tempo rocker as the third or fourth song, choice enough.
Like Short And Curlies, etc.

Well, all of the recent material is not like that.In my opinion,I Go Wild is far superior to You Got Me Rocking & it seemed to work well live.

in fact I Go Live was the centerpiece song of the VL tour...a tour-de-force

It was the most boring song of the VL tour...the fact that the gang ...came forwards with the guitars was a nice gimmick thought.

-T&A, you make very good points when you critesize something.
But it seems that the Rolling STones have fooled you to like I Go Wild. So you're not perfect in "good taste".
I Go Wild is just a lot of words, meaning nothing in particular, just rhyming. And the groove is so dull, and the I GO WILD repetition, makes you think that Jagger views his audience as 2nd-hand sheeps.

I really like You Got Me Rocking, but like some others here, think it's getting a little tired now. The studio version is still great, but I think live versions have been a little lacking of late. What surprises me the most is its inclusion in the first place. It wasn’t a hit; your average Joe on the street wouldn’t know it, yet the Stones play it constantly. I'd rather they fitted one of their many non-performed 60's top-ten hits instead.

Let me get this straight, you like it more than the songs you mention or would rather hear this live than those???

I think the song sucks live. It seems that its just an easy sing-along kind of song where Mick can rely on backing singers and not have to give much effort. Doesn't help that they play a song like this at almost every show. There are so many better songs this can be replaced with.

well...yeah, i honestly do. When I hear the opening notes of HTW i just cringe b/c I think it's fairly boring song. But of course if the Stones are going to play Under My Thumb, Saint Of Me, or another new song of course I'm more than willing to sacrifice YGMR. And I agree with other posters that it's not my favorite off of VL, but it's not my least either. I still love Love is Strong and I was extremely happy to hear it in Chicago in January. One of my highlights of the 2 shows I've seen this tour. I liked it even more than when I was there in Columbus for the first time they ever played Sway.
