I saw "Happy in Boston" a few minutes ago (for the 50th time). Keith with the "Winos". Pure magic. Smiles and r&r all the way! Keith is so up for it - concentation and responsibility (to the guys he´s playing with).
Also love Neil Young and Springsteens in "Rocking ass", Minneapolis.
Boots: Ladies and gentleman, LA BLUES, Nippon Voodoo, Knewborth76 (I know it's not their best concert, but Wild Horses is amazing), Hampton Coliseum 81, Chorzow 98.
Public: Bridges to BAbylon from St. Louis (Keith is on fire. The solos on Satisfaction, sympathy - the guitarwork on flip the switch, gimme shelter, out of control, it's only rock'n'roll. As you said: pure magic). Also like Let's Spend The Night Together alot.
Rolling Stones: Ladies & Gentlemen / Gimme Shelter / Aux Abattoirs / Hampton 81 Springsteen: Hot Fun In The Summertime (Toronto 1984) Bob Dylan: No Direction Home + Hard Rain 1976 David Bowie: Live In Paris 2002 + Cracked Actor AC/DC: Let There Be Rock (Live In Paris 1977)
Yeah agree on Let There Be Rock. The energy level is just fantastic! What a great band. Of course I like Gimme Shelter, but I rather look at it as a documantary - not a concert dvd. The woodstock film is great as well.
Official it's Four Flicks and Gimme Shelter. Bootlegs it's Buenos Aires 2006, Rio 2006, LA Blues, Nippon Voodoo, Voodoo In Buenos Aires, Knebworth '76 etc. etc. Let's just say that there's too much great stuff on boots that I can't decide.
LA FORUM, Knebworth, Just for the record (5 disc documentary, great great great), CS Blues. Dont really care for Ladies and gentlemen despite the fact this is their best "concert" captured on film.
