Used to be impressed with the flash ones like Carl Palmer but through Charlie, (true), learned to appreciate simple drumming. So...

Yeah, Bernard Edwards was the bassist. Was Nile Rodgers the drummer?

He played and wrote for Chic. HE went on to work with David Bowie on "Let's Dance" and the Serious Moonlight tour, from there he helped form The Power Station with Andy and John Taylor of Duran Duran fame with Robert Palmer on vocals. His playing always had power and sounded like a train coming straight for you, he was great.
