SAD, SAD, SAD.

Yesterday I found A Bigger Bang on vinyl. I bought it. Very happy. Then last night I was at my pal's. We wanted to make lasagne. Now earlier in the day we had just put the record aside so we didn't bump into it. Turns out we had put it on top of my pal's mini oven. We went on with the lasagne and the oven got very hot. We discovered the ABB was on top of it, and we got it off there. The first LP hadn't taken much damage it seems. The other one has a huge dent on the first four tracks. SO BAD! Hot vinyl is a thing of the devil. I bought it mostly for the cover (I want it in my LP-cover frames), but if I get a record player later it would be nice to have a working ABB.

Am I able to restore it in any way???

Kent, I may be able to get a new copy for you for just 125 kr. I can take it to Horsens. You should really listen to the vinyl-version. It's the only way to find how great ABB is.

Why screw around, toss it IN the oven, cook it for 25 minutes and serve it up as pizza.

I'm sorry JKFlash; I just got to laugh. I honestly feel for your loss. Hate it when anyone loses a Stones item here but while I was reading your post I got to the words "we were going to cook us a Lasagna" and I knew there was trouble afoot. I don't think you can restore it.

Kent: Frame the cover like you said and buy another one to play. In fact, frame the sleeves with a two way frame. When you get tired of looking at one side flip it over. It works!

To keep things in perspective,,,like an idiot, I put my MSG Sept 05 tickets in the REFRIGERATOR. The humdity caused the print to come off and they were useless. I did get another set at the box office.

You are not alone.................

Reminds me off one night when my brother tipped over his drink and soaked my favourite version of sticky fingers in cognac! The cd edition with zipper. I got so angry, but the damage was done. Cd still works though.. Sad, sad, sad.

I have that edition of SF too. Good one. Do you have many from that series? I have SF, EOMS, IORR, B&B, SG and TY.

You are so right, Shattered. Didn`t think of that. And JunpingKentFlash, I also got Exile in the same series. I`m thinking of dripping a little cognac on that one as well!

Kent's sad story reminds me of back in the day when everyone would have the sad experience of having left an LP on the seat of a car parked in the sun. When you got back you had the original "floppy disk". I did this a few times myself. Usually you could still play them by weighing down the arm to get past the bumps but definitely never the same again!
