Thanks, LA Forum,

Rockman, I suspect your picture to be from Dallas, July 6th.
I can only remember 2 concerts from 75, were Keith had that Florida-shirt...Memphis and Dallas.
I think these pictures are from Memphis...Mick is different from the pic you posted, but I can't find any info about it...I just think so.
Is Cotton Bowl an outdoor or an indoor venue...isn't it outdoor ?
Nasty gloves!

Well, add me to the list of people that have never been fans of Billy Preston and the giant dick. Part of the problem is, of course, that the 75 tour followed closely on the heels of arguably the greatest live rock band of all time (the 72-73 Stones w/MT, Nicky, Keys/Price). I did not attend 1975, and I am sure that those who did had a great time, but the boots I have heard don't sound too good. It has kept me from buying the Genesis Tour of the Americas book -- which is hard to resist because regardless of how they sounded, they sure looked great.

Yes, that one must be Cotton Bowl´75. By the way thanks for posting these nice Ft. Collins shots!

You're welcome,
Thanks for the info, so it is Dallas...I like to know how they appeared at different shows at that time, I mean, knowing the dates for each photo.
BTW, here is the last Fort Collins shot:

It's funny how the two greatest tours of their career (72/73, 78) are the ones with no proper album.

Actually, that's not funny at all, it's a damn shame!
Hey Stones, OPEN THE VAULTS!

An important thing to remember is that a lot of people were seeing them for the first time. All preceding tours were mostly indoors (less than 20000 capacity arenas) They also didn't hit as many cities in 1969 and 1972. Stadium shows increased each show capacity 200 to 300%. A lot more exposure and fueling more demand.

Seeing them for the first time back then was a major happening in ones life. The musical shortcomings were overlooked.

Rockman.....the pic of Mick on the ladder (it behind the lotus) with the leather jacket and boa feather crown....is that from MSG June 25, 1975? He had that exact outfit on that evening.

It's not Keith but Woody and the other player is a guy called Eric Clapton.

Didn't they just say that was Keith in the yellow suit? I thought that might be Eric, but he looks so terrible there that I didn't recognize him. It must have been during his "unhealthy" days.

Different pic, different day, different suit, different guitarplayer.

I remember buying a boot live at the forum 1975 in 91 before I was a Stones expert and I loved it,but in retrospect I can hear the looseness.I don't think 1975 sucked,I think they got better and better as the tour went on.Compared to Flashpoint you can tell they were high and drunk on various things.1975 rocked.

The slurred vocals started UK/Europe '73.

i can't believe they have a chain link fence up - if you're front row, you're pushed up against the fence like that? at least SOME things have improved over the years...

Yeah, you're right. I think the worst I've ever heard (including all '75-76 shows I've listened to) is one of the Essen shows '73. He couldn't phrase any of the words properly. Fine if you slur a couple of words every now and then, but that one is annoying. Glad he took it down one notch after that one show, but I still think he was at his best during '72.
