Star Star... Sorry, cant count either.

If forced; I´d throw Train & Angie overboard,
thus: Winter - DDDDD/H) - Star Star

I always thought it works as the last of a trilogy that begins w/ Sticky...& is more honest, less calculated, than IORR which seemed designed to prove the Stones could "still" rock. The weary tone & lethargic aspect can't hide the fact that nearly all the songs are very good, maybe excepting Mr D (which I still like, & worked well live in '73)...

GHS is one of the best records they've ever recorded.

No doubt.

NOW:

Winter
Can You Hear the Music

WHEN IT CAME OUT:

Angie
Dancing With Mr.D
Star @#$%&/Heartbreaker (tie)

PROBLEMS:

Needs one more solid rocker (Criss Cross? AKA SAVE ME)
Silver Train needs to be rawer, more powerful (like Johnny Winters version)
Over kill with that wah wah pedal (like on Heartbreaker, etc)
Coming Down Again / Hide Your Love (OK but could have been B-sides)
Album has too much of a laid back feel to it (maybe it's the Jamaica Factor)
Dancing With Mr. D is a weak opener. If You Can't Rock Me (on IORR) Now THAT"S an OPENING SONG !!

Angie
Doo Doo Doo Heartbreaker
Winter

Star Star and Silver Train sound better live in concert.

Coming Down Again......one my favourite songs ever recorded. Keiths best song.

The weak songs for me : Dancing With Mr D (very weak opener) and the Silver Train (uninspired rock).

But I LOVE the laid back Jamaicafeeling...
