Several bands - Beatles, Kiss, Cheap Trick, and many others - have festivals where fans can meet, discuss the music, meet some people associated with the band (sometimes members themselves), buy and sell, and just generally enjoy the company of others who share their passion. Cheap Trick combines interview sessions with band members - Bun E. gives a drum clinic, for example - with a concert as well as lots of merchandising.

Has anything like this ever been done with the Stones? I would love to go to something like this. I think many others would too. Hell, if the Trekkies can do this all the time, why not us?

Sounds like a great idea. Mick Taylor can sign autographs to make a few extra bucks, Ronnie can sell his art, and Jagger will have yet another opportunity to hit on 20-something female Stones fans.

Seriously, I would go to something like this if it were well done. Why should comic geeks and sci-fi geeks have all the fun at conventions?
