Rumours about the future

Mick will spend 2007, making a co-written record with Lenny Kravitz.
Charlie is going to retire and Keith and Ronnie are going to tour as the New Barbarians with Steve Jordan, Mac and Joey Spaminato.

So you say this IS in fact the last tour?

wrong wrong wrong... you know how we all want every generation to be able to enjoy the stones...? well so do they. as such, with the profits they've made this tour they have already purchased WMDs from Iran and they plan on destroying the world at the end of this tour. the stones have to call it quits sometime. atleast this way no one will ever missout on their music.

The Future will be somewhat like the Past but somewhat different - that's the rumour on the street....

Rumour has it....Bob Dylan will undergo some kind of surgery to sort out the problems he's obviously got with his vocal chords. I don't go to Dylan shows no more since the poor chap can't sing anymore and I'm not really fond of hearing that awful noise he produces these days. Dylan may well be the best composer ever, but he ought to give up singing at once. Dylan should give Jon Bon Jovi a call and hire him as the new vocalist. Then we'd get some genuine rock n roll music and more young girls would come to Dylan gigs rather than those old grumpy geezers that see him today.

i consider myself lucky to have been a teenager in the sixties when GIANTS like The Rolling Stones,The Beatles and Bob Dylan produced their best work.
who would have thought thirty years ago that the Stones and Dylan would still be touring ?

Bobs best singing days may be behind him but he still puts on a great show and he should not be mentioned in the same breath as a posing no talent @#$%& like Jon Bon Jovi.

You're right, it doesn't. And rather worrying it is too, the thought that one day they just won't be there anymore. It will happen, we all know it will, but it's not a nice thought. You can develop a hell of a habit over 45 odd years.

I'm a great fan of modern Bob, a lot of people think he can't sing anymore (we hear that since decades), but god I enjoy a lot his singing, nobody sings like him, you can't predict how he'll sing next verse in a song !!
Also I enjoy his shows because he is not a nostalgia act.
And I'm happy to attend his shows in great venues.
Dylan and Springsteen shows were awesome last year, each of their tours are different.

aside from your argument about Dylan, you complete lose all credibility by associating no-talent, soulless garbage like Bon Jovi as "genuine rock n roll" - its bad enough that you mention Dylan and Jon Bon Jovi in the same sentence

Dylan still sings well, his voice have changed a lot but he still sounds alright to me.

Unfortunately i only had a chance to see him in concert once,in 2003.Excellent show, fantastic band.

Whats wrong with bon jovi. They are a brilliant live band and definatly of the same calibre of the Stones. In fact Richie Sambora is a better guitarist than either Keef or Ronnie..... Sorry but its true, still love Keef and Ron though

wow mr cox. you opened a can of worms. Sure Sanbora plays great lead, give him credit where it's due. But can he come up with licks like Moneky man, Midnight Rambler, All Down the Line. He never has and never will. He is not a lick master. So you can say that Keith and Ronnie are better. I'm just trying to show the other side of the coin. Pete Townsend never did any blistering leads. They are great for what they do. Can you imagine Dickie Bettes in The stones? Great guitarist but it's oil and water. You're compaing apples and oranges. As far as Bon Jovi being a great live band I would put them in the same level as The Bay City Rollers. In fact they kind look the same.

Isn't Bon Jovi trying to align himself with up and coming "country" acts to knock down a bigger cash flow. Consultants have warned him that lucrative geezer tours are not in his future.

I'm afraid it's their last world tour, but didn't the say the same in 81/82? and in 89/90, and in 94/95 and 97/98 and 02/03?

Anyway if it is their last tour, we will still see dem perform at things like the Super Bowl, some Awards shows, and things like that.

These guys will play rock'n'roll music till the day they die.

But I wouldn't be surprised if they recorded a new album and began a new world tour in a few years.

One thing I hope for is a big concert with Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman as guests. A kind of a reunion-show.

bon jovi is a massive dylan fan.at that event in nara, japan in 1994 he played just like a woman.he introduced it by saying something like "heres a song by the greatest songwriter of all time".....stating the obvious but still..........

The Stones have leased the Andy Williams Theatre in Bransome, Missouri as their new musical home and plan to perform 30 to 40 shows a year there. On their off nights, the stage will be filled by a rotation of the B52s, Judy Collins, and Leo Sayer.

as a fan of Dylan, the Stones and Bruce he may indeed have great taste in music - but then so have I.

That doesnt automatically make his talent worthy of being mentioned in the same breath, however smiling smiley

WNY Stones - you have insulted the Bay City Rollers.

Because my better half has been a Bon Jovi fan since before they were famous ('85). I have had the misfortune to have seen them several times and can tell you I'd rather be singing "Bye Bye Baby" to some pub band then watching those destroyers of rn'r ever again.

He (JBJ) seems to think of himself as the next Springsten ........ha ha AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Wembley isn't ready for the smucks!

bookmakers odds have the Community Shield as being a solid 1-3 favourite to be the first event at the new stadium (August 6th)

....which would mean that the Stones would be the first musical act..unless someone can rearrange their shows for the weekend of August 12/13th.

Dylan is working on a new album, and is touring this spring. I saw in in NC last year, and he and his band were fantastic. You guys should all give dylan a break. He is a Rock and Roll legend and you should be thankful he is still doing what he does.

Ah, no. Bon Jovi sucks, as does all '80s hair metal. Don't even get me started on this subject.
