Great, Billy.
I have this stuff (complete Hank Williams), but for those of you who don't know, Hank Williams is God. Billy has done a great service here.
The Mt Rushmore of music:
Hank Williams, Robert Johnson, James Brown & Little Richard

Great stuff. Is this from the Health and Happiness Shows? I didn't hear GOO mentioned, so I presume it is from those other shows.

Any current country worth listening to?

Hank was the real deal when it comes to country music. He just didn't sing the songs, he lived them, and that came though in the performances, givng his music an authenticy not to often found in music these days, at least in my opinion. Hank is the MAN!

Does anyone have his box set? I do and it's incredible. a must have for anyone who likes the Stones roots.

I also have a vinyl LP with just him and his guitar laying down the basic tracks to a lot of his songs. On a few songs, he was pretty messed up and Audrey had to help him remember the lyrics.

It reminded me of Jimmy Reed when his wife had to help him remember lyrics as well.

Hmmmm, I see what you mean. I hope you know though that those negative posts had nothing to do with you. Everyone else but one was very appreciative your posting those songs. Keep 'em coming and ignore the critics I say!

How I LOVE Hank Sr!!! The REAL king, the 1st country star, the 1st rock star, and the 1st with a punk attitude. His music is so moving and powerful in that it all the pain he expressed in his songs was so real to him. Unfortunately one of the 1st to die before he got old. Watching the III is mesmorizing as I just keep picturing Sr, they look exactly alike (except for the long hair and tats).

and for the hardcore Hank Sr. fans: some years ago....Hbo (cable channel) put out a special called: "Hank Williams: the show he never gave".....a fictional account of Hank playing that last show (the one he died on his way to) in a smokey little honky-tonk...the guy who played Hank (forgot his name) did a great job singing and had a similar look.....highly recommended for you Hank-sters
