The Rolling Stones To Axe 'Sexually Explicit' Songs In China
After government pressure...
by Scott Colothan on 3/1/2006
The Rolling Stones have been forced to axe four songs from their upcoming China show as they are too sexually explicit for the country.
Reports claim that China’s Ministry for Culture deemed that four songs weren’t acceptable for the landmark event.
The wrinkly rockers won’t be able to play ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Honky Tonk Woman’, ‘Beast of Burden’ and ‘Let’s Spend The Night Together’ at the show.
Strangely, it seems that ‘Satisfaction’ has been given the green light.
As reported earlier in the week, The Stones will be making their first appearance in China in Shanghai on April 8.
They were planning to play in 2003 but were forced to cancel with the outbreak of Sars.
